00:00In a recent PNA report, more than 18 million students in the Philippines were affected by Hurricane Christina, according to the Department of Education.
00:10In the latest DEP-ED report, almost 36,000 schools were affected by the storm,
00:16of which almost 760,000 were affected by the storm by teaching and non-teaching personnel due to the cancellation of on-site classes.
00:26More than 130 schools were affected by the storm and landslide.
00:32Meanwhile, Bicol Region recorded the highest number of cases of landslide-affected schools.
00:40On the other hand, some schools in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Socsargen are using evacuation centers of some towns.
