00:11Kinabalu Park Panalaban Substation Officer Juleimin Kamin reported that strong winds,
00:17continuous rain and fog had affected the summit trail, with landslides and fallen trees adding
00:23to the hazards.
00:24Safety monitoring and maintenance work are being carried out regularly along the Mount
00:28Kinabalu trails.
00:30All climbers, guides, porters and staff on the summit trail are advised to exercise extra
00:35caution at all times, particularly during climbs toward Panalaban.
00:41Due to the adverse weather conditions, staff and search and rescue officials are on high
00:46alert.
00:47On Wednesday, the Malaysian Meteorological Department issued a warning about a tropical
00:52storm located 1,281 kilometres northeast of Kudat.
00:58The storm was causing continuous rain and strong winds across Sabah.
