00:00Powerlifting will be included in the centennial season of the Philippine National Collegiate Athletic Association or NCAA.

00:07The Powerlifting Association of the Philippines confirmed the development through a teaser video on social media.

00:14However, former PAP official Eddie Torres said,

00:17details are still to be ironed out and that an official announcement will be made in the following days.

00:23It's the first time that powerlifting will be featured in the country's oldest collegiate league.

00:28National athletes and Jose Rizal University lifters Veronica Ompud and Jim Erasmo are expected to take center stage in the competition.
