00:07the Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Cooperation is always committed
00:12to carry out various inclusive business assistance,
00:18including to the Indian community through financing such as
00:22the Indian Community Entrepreneurship Development Scheme Spumi,
00:26Spumi Goes Big, which is implemented by Tekun,
00:30and the Special Fund for Indian Women, PEN, by Amanahitya Malaysia.
00:37Both of these are not included in the budget for 2023,
00:42but are collaborative initiatives between the Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Cooperation
00:47with Tekun and AIM.
00:50For the Spumi Programme, from 2008 to 30 September 2024,
00:56Tekun National has allocated a total of RM482.6 million
01:04to 30,101 Indian community entrepreneurs.
01:09During this period, as many as 764 Indian community entrepreneurs
01:15in the Sipu River area have received Spumi funding of RM11.27 million.
01:23For the PEN Programme, Amanahitya Malaysia has distributed
01:28a total of RM22.7 million to 2,644 Indian entrepreneurs
01:36for the period from January 2024 to 30 September 2024.
01:43During this period, as many as 99 Indian community entrepreneurs
01:48in the Sipu River area have received PEN funding of RM1.1 million.
01:54For your information, if we look at the Spumi Goes Big Programme
02:01that we have just launched, the number of applications we have received
02:05from the Sipu River Parliament is 8 applications.
02:09And all 8 applications have been successfully approved.

03:14My question is, what are the honourable actions that have been taken
03:24by the Ministry in attracting more and more young Indian entrepreneurs
03:31to participate in financing schemes under Kuskok such as Spumi and PEN?
03:37And what is the current status of Spumi Goes Big under Tekun?
03:47Thank you, Honourable Minister.
03:50We are implementing a lot of initiatives.
03:53For example, there are booth exhibitions involving AIM and Tekun.
04:02We have a counter-promotion in all the programmes where AIM and Tekun
04:08are running the programme.
04:10We are also promoting our social media and online presence
04:15for PEN and Spumi programmes.
04:18In addition to that, every programme in the areas where we have activities
04:24related to Tekun or AIM, we distribute flyers and so on.
04:30If we look at it, we also have a series of joint speeches.
04:35For example, what has happened with NGOs,
04:39also with agencies as partners,
04:43with the MYKI, KLCKI, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Indian Chamber of Commerce.
04:49And recently, we will be holding a ceremony
04:53where we will make a donation to show the success of the PEN programme in 2028.

05:06the Sukarnika programme will be held by AIM in Kuala Kangsa
05:12at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Ulu Kuang on 24 October 2024,
