Budget 2025: RM 45.3bil allocated to the Health Ministry

RM 45.3bil has been allocated to the Health Ministry, up from RM41.2bil allocated under Budget 2024.  Meanwhile, excise duty on sugar-sweetened beverages increased to 40 sen per litre from Jan 1, 2025. 00:06The Ministry of Health is not helping.

00:10The Ministry of Health received the second highest grant,

00:14RM45.3 billion.

00:18So, I have instructed the Ministry of Health,

00:23Ministry of Education and related ministries

00:27to pay more attention to basic necessities.

00:32For example, the facilities of hospitals,

00:34such as lobbies,

00:37need to be improved.

00:43Don't say that the facilities are not enough.

00:46Improve the facilities for these ministries.

00:49Invest in other areas.

00:51Ensure the facilities for the people,

00:54especially for the patients.

00:57This is an instruction for all ministries.

01:24The message is strong.

01:34Build a country free from poverty,

01:38disease,

01:40and hostile enemies.

01:43A nation which continues to be free from poverty,

01:48and free from epidemics and destructive forces.

01:53The number of da'if clinics in the country

01:57has increased to RM100 million.

02:00RM150 million has been provided.

02:03And RM300 million for 2025.

02:07Sugar.

02:09In the Friday sermon,

02:11the Speaker of the Assembly

02:14spoke about obesity

02:18and diabetes.

02:22So,

02:24we have to pay attention

02:27to ways to reduce it.

02:30So, we must support

02:32the movement, War on Sugar.

02:35So, the government suggested

02:38to increase the number of duty exercise

02:41to a minimum.

02:43The daily sugar intake

02:46from January 1, 2025

02:49to 40 cent per litre.

02:54The additional income

02:57will be used

02:59for public health expenses,

03:04including medicines,

03:07diabetes treatment,

03:10and dialysis centres.

03:17The public health system

03:22must be strengthened

03:24to be able to stand on their own feet.

03:27So, the establishment of the KKM

03:29will be introduced,

03:31involving GLEEK.

03:34This is a statement

03:37by the private, public, and government.

03:41It started in five hospitals

03:44and will be expanded.

03:47The government also increased

03:49the cooperation of 91 private hospitals

03:52to provide outpatient services.

03:55KKM involves services such as

03:57cardiology, radiology, and others

03:59to reduce the pressure

04:01on the government hospitals.
