00:00So from Hounslow to Hollywood, how you doing?
00:04I'm doing fantastic.
00:05I mean, is this the aim? To be in junkets doing amazing films like this?
00:10You know what? Absolutely. I have to say, what a blessing it is to be able to promote
00:16something that you love, that you're so proud of, and I'm genuinely so happy to be here.
00:22This terrified me. In fact, it ruined my day.
00:24I'm sorry, babes.
00:27On the bus, I was awful. On the train, walking on the street, I was terrified someone was
00:31going to jump out on me. How does it feel that you're going to be ruining people's days?
00:35Yeah, I know. I don't know whether that's... I guess it's a good thing. I guess that's
00:40obviously what people kind of want from a horror movie, so I never know whether to say
00:45great or I'm sorry, but I guess both.
00:49Well, it was just so gory. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.
00:55Did you prepare yourself? Was there any prep? Was there more ketchup in the house?
01:00What did you do?
01:04No, I... With a movie like this, it really is about just stamina, you know?
01:12And so I think I attacked it from that point of view. It's trying to figure out how can
01:18I get through this in order to protect your performance, right? So how can I maintain
01:27some level of energy to give for each moment and conserve when I need to conserve?
01:34So that was more the challenge. And in terms of all the kind of gore and stuff, I mean,
01:40I think I'm a bit of a weirdo where I find it so beautiful, I think, because the craft
01:45of it and our practical effects and our visual effects makeup, I just was like, I was like,
01:51you know, our head of visual effects makeup, I was like, this is beautiful. I was like,
01:55it looks so gorgeous. Like, I found it, like, it was almost like art to me, you know?
01:59I can see that. Were you worried about your hubby and your family seeing you in such states,
02:03perhaps on a big screen?
02:05Well, they're going to see it tonight. My dad's coming. My brother's coming. My mum's
02:10not going to be able to watch. She was like, I love you. My cousin can't watch. So it's
02:13like interesting who's like, and I don't, I've warned, you're right, I've literally
02:19warned everyone, like, because all my, like, my closest, I guess, you know, friends and
02:24family are coming tonight. So I've literally been like, guys, because a lot of them also,
02:29my parents don't watch horror movies, but bless my dad, he's like, no, I'm going to
02:32come and support. And like, I'm like, OK, but just I'm going through a lot. Dad, please.
02:38OK, just know. And he's like, no, I know. So he's prepared. So I don't know, man,
02:42we'll see. We'll see.
02:43You almost need to be next to him holding his hand so he knows that it's not the real you.
02:47I am here in this world. Yeah, I am here and we, I'm OK. Yeah.
02:52You're idolised in this by fans. Who did you love growing up and who would you have lined
02:57up to get a photo with?
02:58Ooh. Who did? Do you know, it's so weird because I didn't have that, like, thing or that person
03:07I was, like, obsessed with. I did love Mary Mary, which is a classic gospel, two sisters
03:15who are just like...
03:16Shackles?
03:17Yes. Shackles, let's go. But I was like, you know, deep cuts, like albums. I was, I love
03:22Mary Mary so much. And also, like, that was where I feel like growing up, learning how
03:27to kind of use your voice and riffs and stuff. That's kind of how I learned all that stuff.
03:34So yeah, Mary Mary I loved. I'd love to still meet Mary Mary if you're out there. Girls,
03:39hit me up.
03:40Let's make it happen and I want to hear more singing from you, please. I want albums, I
03:43want tours, I want the lot.
03:44It's coming. It's coming.
