00:00One of the things that bothers me the most is the lack of love we have for our country,
00:08because we Italians despise each other so much and I don't know why.
00:12I was born at the extreme borders of Italy and I don't have this disdain, I have a great
00:16admiration for it, but I am always surprised how many Italians do not realize the great
00:21privilege of living in Italy and this is an honor to behave honorably.
00:27I must say that in the last years, as there are 30 years in the world of culture and literature,
00:31the last years have collapsed, for example, at the level of translations.
00:34We translate 70% less and I would love to read German authors or rather Czechoslovakian authors,
00:41but it is no longer translated because the world, with globalization, instead of opening itself,
00:45is closed and everyone reads the books of his country and no longer wants to read the books of others
00:49and this is very bad for literature, because literature is the curiosity of other countries.
00:53Let's try to open this closed window a little.
