00:27According to the House Committee on Appropriations Chair Elizalde Co,
00:30this was the decision of the House Small Committee that it was ordered by the lower house
00:35to amend the individual and institutional amendments in the version of the Camera of how to raise funds.
00:41More than Php 292 billion was raised by congressmen
00:47for the improvement of social services, social safety nets, and food security.
00:52As one of the main amendments of the Camera in the budget proposal,
00:56Php 39.8 billion was raised for the AICS program of the DSWD.

01:09While the Sustainable Livelihood Program for low-income families,
01:13the Camera also raised Php 3.4 billion.
01:17According to Chairman Co, this additional allocation is important
01:20to support the Filipinos in need,
01:24and they believe that through the government's livelihood programs,
01:28poverty will also be averted.
01:31Some of the additional funds raised by the Camera
01:34include the DOLE program, Government Internship Program,
01:38Tulong Dunang Program, and Scholarship Programs of the government,
01:42as well as the construction of new houses and facilities in schools
01:46under the Department of Education,
01:48which was also given an additional allocation for low-income families.
01:52According to Appropriations Senior Vice-Chair Stella Quimbo,
01:55education will be of great help for the future of the country,
01:59and this is one of their priorities.
02:02The Armed Forces of the Philippines also raised additional funds for the Camera.
02:08This is also part of the daily subsistence allowance for the soldiers
02:12and the completion of the airport expansion in Pag-asa Island
02:16and the shelter port in Lawak Palawan.
