00:00Bersatu cannot hope to have a promising young leader like Dr Akmal Saleh from UMNO,

00:08while trying to be more inclusive and attract non-Malay support, said a political analyst.

00:14Azmil Taib from the University of Science Malaysia said,

00:18A promising young leader like Wan Ahmad Faisal Wan Ahmad Kamal cannot hope for his party to achieve both of those goals,

00:27while trying to regain its increasingly weak influence.

00:30Azmil said Bersatu needs to convince young Malay voters that the main issue facing their community is the economic issue, not the people.

00:40In a recent interview with FMT, Wan Faisal united, offered a broader narrative,

00:47fighting for all races and religions, without forgetting the philosophy of his main struggle, advocating for the Malay-Islam.

00:55O Isan from Institut Hal Ehwal Antarbangsa Singapura said,

01:00Bersatu seems to have lost its political direction, while its leader, including Wan Faisal, is looking for a way to revive the party.

01:09O added that Bersatu's hope to attract non-Malay voters will remain as a dream,

01:15if the party continues to work with PAS, its important ally in the national alliance.
