Hello, everyone. This is Paul Branson Reviews, or Mr. Branson's World. You choose.
00:07
And today, I went to Dollar Tree. Well, not today. A few days ago I went to Dollar Tree
00:12
and I picked up these Hostess Cupcakes Vanilla.
00:15
Now, when I was young, I don't remember them ever being vanilla.
00:19
I remember cupcakes. I remember Hostess. I remember them being chocolate.
00:24
I remember maybe they had a few limited editions, but I don't remember vanilla at all.
00:30
So when I saw this at Dollar Tree, and yes, that's the price of Dollar Tree, $3 for these.
00:36
And you only get six in here, but I'm going to see how big they are. Are they worth it for $3?
00:42
But I know that I went to some other stores and I saw them for like $4 or $5.
00:47
So Dollar Tree would be best if they're good. So I'll be trying that in a minute.
00:52
Now, right here it says 300 calories, you know, and the fat is 16%. The trans fat is 21%.
00:59
The fiber is zero. Sugar, 32%. There's your sugar rush for the afternoon.
01:05
Potassium, 2. Calcium, 4. Iron, 3.
01:09
Main ingredient, sugar. Enriched wheat flour. Vegetable. Vegetable oil is pretty much in everything now.
01:16
Chips in everything. It's amazing. I see that everywhere now.
01:20
Wheat starch, soy, some words like corn starch, and some words I can't pronounce.
01:25
Like some, it says calcium carbonated acid. May contain peanuts and tree nuts.
01:31
So obviously it may contain, it's not made in a gluten free, or gluten free or peanut free factory it looks like.
01:38
So let's, let's check this out.
01:42
Oh, I don't like that. See, I would prefer them to be individual packs.
01:47
Because that, it just kind of makes me need to eat two of them, and I don't really want to eat two of them.
01:54
That actually kind of, I don't know.
01:57
Well, let's see.
02:12
It smells like vanilla.
02:20
See, when I open up stuff like this, I want it becoming gushing out.
02:24
Look at that. Look at how much they give you.
02:27
Hardly nothing at all.
02:32
I don't really like the smell. The more I smell it, I don't like the smell.
02:42
It tastes like frosted...
02:50
Like you know how you're frosting from a cake?
02:53
This is what it tastes like. It literally tastes like frosting from a cake.
03:06
But it kind of has a little bit of an aftertaste.
03:09
It kind of has a little bit of an aftertaste.
03:23
Yeah, the aftertaste is kicking in.
03:26
So let's see if it's consistent though.
03:31
Because they gave me two, I might as well eat two in a pack.
03:36
Geez, hard to get them out.
03:38
Let's see if this one has more in it.
03:41
Oh, actually, look. This actually has a little bit more in it.
03:45
See, there's no consistency.
03:47
To me, have the same amount in every single one that you have in here.
03:53
Don't have one have more, another one have less.
03:56
One tastes better than the other.
03:58
Let the consistency be.
04:00
But right now, it just simply tastes like frosting from a cake.
04:04
That's it. Frosting from a cake. And I like frosting from the cake.
04:07
I remember when I was a kid, I used to lick the bowl.
04:21
Actually, this one tastes better than the other one.
04:25
So they're not consistent.
04:30
Oh, really?
04:32
Huh.
04:38
That one tasted way better than the first one I had.
04:42
Maybe because my body got used to it.
04:45
But as you can see, the second one actually had more frosting.
04:48
So that makes a huge difference in these.
04:51
So they're obviously not consistent.
04:53
It's kind of like eating chips. They're not consistent.
04:58
I have a tough time rating this.
05:00
Because basically, it's just frosting on a little cake.
05:03
It's really nothing super special, but it is good.
05:09
I'll give it a 6. I'll give it a 6 out of 10.
05:11
It's not fantastic.
05:13
It's just frosting from a cake.
05:15
I can go and buy frosting and just eat frosting.
05:17
And that's exactly what this would be.
05:19
And I can go and get frosting myself and put it on something else.
05:22
So it's...
05:24
Yeah, I give it a 6.
05:26
6 out of 10. Maybe a 6.5 out of 10.
05:29
Not fantastic.
05:31
It's simple. It's easy.
05:33
Should be cheaper than $3 too, to be quite honest with you.
05:36
Should be $2, especially at Dollar Tree.
05:39
But if you really want these, they are good.
05:44
But make sure you go to Dollar Tree to get them because it would be cheaper there.
05:47
Walmart I saw them for $4.
05:49
Somewhere else I saw them for $5.
05:51
And I think somewhere else I saw them for $6.
05:53
And I was like, really?
05:55
These were actually made for Dollar Tree.
05:59
So maybe I didn't see the vanilla ones anywhere else except Dollar Tree.
06:03
That I don't know.
06:05
But I've seen Hostess and I know that they're fairly cheap.
06:08
If you buy an individual one, they're like $1.
06:11
But still.
06:13
So I guess it's a fun pack amusement.
06:16
Still, a 6.5 out of 10.
06:19
I'm going to give it a little bit more.
06:21
6.5 out of 10, everyone, because that's how I just feel about it.
06:24
But for now... Oh, excuse me.
06:26
I just burped.
06:28
So obviously I guess I did like it.
06:30
So 6.5 out of 10.
06:32
Have an incredible day, everyone.
06:34
And thank you for watching.
06:35
Bye for now.
06:36
