00:00The Bureau of Plant Industry, or BPI, and the Bureau of Customs, or BOC, seized a container van

00:05holding smuggled white onions worth 3.5 million pesos at the middle of South Harbor.

00:11Based on the investigation, the shipment arrived in the country from China in July,

00:16where importation bans on onions was in effect and permits to import the agri-produce were suspended.

00:22This means the entry of imported onions were illegal. The Department of Agriculture,

00:26D.A., said it will not stop pursuing violators. The D.A. added offenders

00:31could be penalized under the new Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act.
