00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, assures to provide assistance to those in need.

00:06This assurance applies most specifically to Filipinos who are qualified to receive aid through the various government programs.

00:13DSWD clarified the agency will not be used for political gain.

00:18DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian says the DSWD will provide aid to anyone, even sends a referral from a lawmaker.

00:26He added that with the upcoming elections, they will abide by any rule the Commission on Elections, or COMLEC, will set.
