00:07Okay, what we have here behind us is a fire engine
00:11that we have been kindly donated by an anonymous buyer
00:18for us to send this fire engine out to Mikhailiv in Ukraine.
00:23The fire station in Ukraine was flattened during the initial invasion in 2022
00:33and the chief fire officer had a bullet miss her head by about two centimetres.
00:40Even though the fire station was levelled,
00:43she carried on doing her work as much as possible and as professional as possible.
00:50Now, Mikhailiv has really hard winters too,
00:55so in conjunction with another charity in the UK,
00:59we're raising funds to build a new shelter for this fire engine as well.
01:04The fire engine that they have at this moment in time is from 1964.
01:10That's the only fire engine that they could salvage out of all the wreckage that they had.
01:17It's still doing its job, but they need something more efficient, something powerful,
01:23and this fire engine behind you is a pumping station.
01:27It carries water, it doesn't have to go to water sources or anything like that.
01:32So it's an absolutely fantastic thing, a fantastic find,
01:36and thank you to Justin at ELS for bringing it to our attention
01:41and helping us out massively with it.
01:45And when will this get to Ukraine?
01:47We're hoping to get it out there at the end of the month.
01:50I will be driving it out there personally with a few other drivers,
01:54and hopefully it will be fully loaded with humanitarian equipment, medical aid,
01:59and any other humanitarian aid that we can acquire.
