00:00Assalamualaikum, today our topic of discussion is filtration.

00:09Filtration is the process by which small molecules are forced to move across semi-permeable membrane

00:16with the aid of hydrostatic pressure or blood pressure.

00:20Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure of water and blood pressure is the pressure of blood.

02:53All the waste in the blood is filtered through the kidneys.

02:59For example, this is a capillary and its valve is also a semi-permeable membrane.

03:05When blood pressure is applied to the capillaries,

03:10small molecules come out of the semi-permeable membrane.

03:15So, we put a force here.

03:18We forced three molecules out of the semi-permeable membrane.

03:23This process is called filtration.

03:26Blood pressure is applied to the capillaries in the kidneys.

03:31Because of this, small molecules and waste materials come out of the capillaries.

03:39And in this way, they are included in our kidneys.

03:45And the kidneys take these things out of the body.

03:53When pressure is applied to the capillaries,

03:58large molecules do not come out of the capillaries.

04:04Because it is a semi-permeable membrane,

04:07some molecules are allowed to pass and some are not.

04:11So, small molecules come out of the capillaries,

04:14while large molecules like red blood cells and white blood cells

04:19do not come out of the capillaries.

04:24So, in this way, the filtration process is going on in our body.

04:32Like the waste material in the cell is also coming out of the capillaries.

04:40There are other processes as well.
