00:00What is this? And is it true that you can become rich here just like the siblings who have found their own wealth?
00:14Watch and earn!
00:16Just like many of our fellow countrymen who overcome their hunger for food,
00:23and for their seven siblings whenever they are in danger,
00:26Instant Pancit Canton
00:29Let's eat!
00:33We only share two Pancit Cantons.
00:36It was so delicious!
00:38But that was in the past.
00:40Because now, Dayan can afford to prepare,
00:43whether there's an occasion or not.
00:46In the past, there was nothing.
00:49Now, there's a taste of what's in life.
00:53Houses have been built.
00:56Welcome to our brand new house.
01:01Condos.
01:04And cars.
01:07All of these are just laptops and discards.
01:13Our lives have changed because of one laptop.
01:15With Wi-Fi only.
01:16I said, we won't have a hard time anymore.
01:18Amazingly, after two months or one month, we already have six digits.
01:23No matter what kind of job Dayan has, even if it's just a work from home,
01:30we will assist you.
01:35Dayan was born in a poor family in their province, Surigao del Norte.
01:40The common answer to their hunger is Instant Pancit Canton.
01:46Just two Pancit Cantons for eight.
01:48It's not enough for us.
01:50What we do is, we share two Pancit Cantons.
01:53I think four times a week.
01:54It's our favorite.
01:56When it's our birthday, we prepare the Pancit Canton.
01:59We borrow just a little bit.
02:00It's like we're already relaxed in that situation.
02:05Their father's salary is just small.
02:08He's a barangay worker.
02:10That's why they're busy with many things.
02:13We're just staying with our relatives.
02:15We were cut off from electricity.
02:17It's embarrassing for our neighbors.
02:19If we want to study, there's no electricity.
02:21It's just candles.
02:23To make ends meet, Dayan worked hard in college.
02:27She became a working student in Manila.
02:29I was a service cashier for fast food.
02:31After six months, I became a BPO.
02:33At night, I was a BPO agent.
02:35In the morning, I was a student.
02:37But she got pregnant.
02:39My only expectation is to be able to pay my rent,
02:42utility bills, and to be able to feed and raise my baby.
02:45Dayan worked harder,
02:47and her expectations increased.
02:50Until she finished hotel and restaurant management
02:54and got a job.
02:55There were times when I only got $7,000 or $5,000 per cutoff.
02:59Because we're a big family,
03:01it's not easy for her to help her family.
03:03I decided to resign.
03:05My name is Teacher Dayan.
03:07She applied to be an online English tutor.
03:10I teach students Japanese and Chinese.
03:14I teach them virtually.
03:15I saved my income there until I got a laptop.
03:19Until she discovered a popular job here.
03:24As long as you have a laptop, smartphone, or tablet, internet,
03:29you can work anywhere.
03:32The advantage of being a BA is that I can take care of my baby
03:36because I work from home.
03:37Working hours are flexible.
03:40And Dayan got dollars.
03:43The income is $500 per hour.
03:45I was amazed because in the Philippines,
03:47you have to work 8 hours a day
03:51before you can earn $500 hourly.
03:55The job is to be a VA or virtual assistant.
03:59Most of their bosses or clients are from other countries.
04:03That's why the job is usually ordered and done online.
04:09You don't have to finish your work.
04:12As long as you can do your job well,
04:14your client is okay.
04:15The main thing she does is to help your client.
04:19When I started as a VA,
04:21I can say that the number one struggle is finding a client.
04:24Even if you're smart,
04:27you feel like you're totally equipped.
04:29If you don't have a client, it's the same.
04:31Some VA's are like secretaries.
04:35Others manage social media accounts and job descriptions.
04:40Some are also in charge of data entry and customer support.
04:45And the salary can go up to P100,000.
04:50I studied in three courses.
04:52You have to be totally equipped.
04:53Almost every night, I study all the courses
04:56that I can apply to the work I want.
04:59I upskill and upskill
05:01to satisfy my clients.
05:04Dayan became a social media VA
05:07for a client from Australia.
05:09My job is just posting on IG and Facebook.
05:13I started with P3 per hour.
05:15P150 at that time.
05:17This is where I found my client
05:20who gave me P25 per hour.
05:23I just watch YouTube.
05:26I learned how to do email marketing.
05:28I learned how to be a personal assistant.
05:30The more skills you have,
05:31the more offers you get.
05:33She used to earn P25,000 per month
05:37in her corporate job.
05:39In becoming a VA,
05:40her salary almost tripled.
05:43It's P60,000 to P70,000 per week.
05:46It took me almost four years to become an expert.
05:49Because up until now, I'm still studying.
05:51It's not like an instant
05:53where you can get six digits right away.
05:56It's not like that.
05:57Another challenge is
05:58having a competition in other VA.
06:01Not just for us Filipinos.
06:04Because there are other VAs with different nationalities.
06:06We can say that the websites are saturated.
06:11But there's also a downside.
06:14You don't have benefits.
06:15You're the one who pays on your own.
06:18SSS, PhilHealth, your taxes.
06:20The problem is,
06:21I experienced depression or anxiety.
06:23There are times when clients
06:26immediately remove you from their company
06:30if they want to.
06:31There were times when I worked
06:33for a week and I didn't get paid.
06:35It's a waste of effort because I was there for 40 hours.
06:37You expect to get paid after a week.
06:39I always say that VA is not for everyone.
06:42When I applied as a VA,
06:45I wasn't rejected just once.
06:47I applied for 50 to 100 applications per day
06:51just to find a premium client.
06:53What I do is,
06:54I give free trials to my clients.
06:57If you're weak,
06:59you won't last long in this industry.
07:00The job is not guaranteed.
07:02Here, you really have to be strong inside.
07:04You have to buffer your money
07:06because you might be removed later.
07:08You don't have to pay rent or other expenses.
07:11You really have to test the water always.
07:14That's why Dayan formed a group of VAs.
07:19They're almost my friends.
07:20I recruit them.
07:21One of them came from Corporal World.
07:23Her salary multiplied three times
07:25when she joined VA.
07:27One of the people she gave jobs to
07:29is her brother, Barbie.
07:31I said, come here.
07:32I'll introduce you to my clients.
07:34They said, okay, I can hire her.
07:36She was in social media at that time.
07:38When she finished,
07:40Barbie continued her VA
07:42until they helped each other
07:45to get more clients.
07:47We became a teamwork.
07:49After two months or one month,
07:51we already have six digits.
07:52We have 100K.
07:53The first thing we did,
07:54we gave free trials to our family.
07:59Fast forward to 2024,
08:01Dayan and Barbie's VA team expanded
08:05and their clients increased.
08:08That's why the income of the siblings now
08:11reaches half a million pesos
08:15every month.
08:16We didn't imagine that
08:18she could do it
08:19even if she's just here in the Philippines
08:20and she can't abroad.
08:22Before,
08:23they only endured instant pancit canton.
08:27Now, they can afford to eat delicious food
08:30every day.
08:31It's pancit for eight people.
08:34There are a lot of dishes.
08:35Before, they only live with their family.
08:38Now, they have a house and land.
08:41Welcome to our brand new house.
08:45This house is our gift to our parents.
08:49They also bought three condos.
08:52We are doing rentals for long term and short term.
08:55It's our additional source of income.
08:58And now, they drive their own cars.
09:01I can say that this is one of the tasks
09:04of being a virtual assistant.
09:06It's really hard and tiring.
09:08This is it.
09:12This Thursday,
09:13Dayan visited her parents and siblings
09:16to celebrate Barbie's birthday
09:18who is abroad now.
09:22The former content in instant pancit canton
09:26is now available.
09:28It's your favorite.
09:30Before, it's really hard for us to eat instant pancit.
09:34At least now, we can afford it.
09:36Before, we only share pancit canton.
09:39Now, we can afford it even for a few people.
09:42Our family doesn't let us down.
09:45Even though we went through hardships,
09:49we were able to endure it.
09:50We are really blessed as parents
09:52that they became our children.
09:54I just cried because of all the hardships we went through.
09:58I can't even imagine that we will have a chance
10:01to overcome the hardships.
10:07In any job,
10:08you need to discard,
10:10be patient,
10:11and endure the long patience.
10:14Because success
10:16is not like instant pancit canton.
10:19You really need to work hard for it.
10:25Thank you for watching, Kapuso!
