00:08is up by 13% in the latest round of statistics. From the hustle and bustle of the big cities

00:13to the seemingly idyllic countryside, crime finds its way into almost every corner of

00:18the country, with the crime rate now sitting at 91.2 crimes per 1,000 people in 2024. That's

00:24the national average, but using the data we can see which areas fare worse than others.

00:29Perhaps unsurprisingly enough, Westminster comes out on top when it comes to the most

00:33dangerous areas, with a staggering 440 crimes per 1,000 residents. Manchester is in third

00:39place, followed by Middlesbrough in fourth, Liverpool in eighth, Leeds in eleventh, Birmingham

00:44in seventeenth and Newcastle-upon-Tyne in twenty-first place. In each place, crime and

00:49nuisance behaviour may be on the up, but each is unique in terms of problem areas within

00:53the wider city and the major issues that plague the people. What's the biggest problem facing
