00:12An Israeli attack helicopter has been seen firing missiles into southern Lebanon.

00:17That comes on the same day the IDF carried out another series of overnight strikes on

00:22Beirut's southern suburbs.

00:24The Israeli military said it targeted Hezbollah's Central Intelligence Headquarters around midnight.

00:30It didn't say who it was aiming for, but claimed to have killed 100 Hezbollah fighters in the

00:35last 24 hours.

00:37Around 1,400 Lebanese have been killed and some 1.2 million driven from their homes since

00:43Israel ramped up its aerial campaign in September.

00:49Meanwhile the US military struck several Houthi targets in Yemen, going after weapons systems,

00:54bases and other equipment belonging to the Iranian-backed rebels.

00:59According to Houthi media, seven strikes hit the airport in the major port city of Hodeidah

01:04and the Kataib area, which has a Houthi-controlled military base.

01:08The strikes come just days after the Houthis, who are allied with Hezbollah and Hamas, threatened

01:13escalating military operations targeting Israel.

01:22Ukraine's military intelligence agency has claimed responsibility for killing the head

01:26of security at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

01:30The agency posted a video on its Telegram channel showing an SUV exploding.

01:35Hours later, the Russian investigative committee confirmed that Andrei Korotki was killed.

01:40The GUR said Korotki was a war criminal and voluntarily collaborated with Moscow after

01:45it seized control of the nuclear facility in the early weeks of the war.

01:50Meanwhile at least three people, including a six-year-old girl, have been killed when

01:55the Russian military hit a car carrying liquefied natural gas in the northern village of Hirsk.

02:00Village authorities said the strike caused the gas cylinders to explode, causing a fire

02:05which spread to a nearby house.

02:08And in eastern Ukraine, residents of Pokrovsk have begun patching up their homes after overnight

02:13Russian strikes caused extensive damage and injured four people.

02:17According to the regional police, the Russian military dropped six bombs on the city, damaging

02:22a multi-story building, three houses and a shop.

02:30Bosnia's government has declared a state of emergency after at least 16 people were killed

02:35in flooding and landslides caused by a severe rainstorm.

02:39The flooding has affected several towns and villages in central and southern parts of

02:43the country.

02:45Rescue services in the south said several people were missing and called on volunteers

02:50to help as roads were closed and houses left without electricity.

02:54Defense Minister Zubukhan Helez told N1 regional television that troops have been deployed

02:59to help.

03:01While rescue services in the towns of Jablanica and Kiselyak said the power was off overnight

03:06and mobile phones had lost their signal.

03:10Heavy rains and strong winds were also reported in neighboring Croatia, where several roads

03:15were closed and the capital Zagreb is preparing for the swollen Sava River to burst its banks.

03:21It's a similar story in Slovenia, where heavy rain has caused three rivers to overflow.

03:27And floods caused by torrential rains were also reported in Montenegro, where some villages

03:32were cut off and roads and homes flooded.

03:40Certain FIFA rules on international player transfers are in breach of EU law.

03:45The EU's top court said on Friday.

03:47The Court of Justice of the European Union handed down its ruling following a decade-long

03:53legal challenge spearheaded by former footballer Lassana Diara.

03:57According to the ECJ, certain FIFA rules impede the free movement of footballers wanting to

04:03progress their careers by working for new clubs.

04:06In 2013, Diara signed a four-year contract with Russian team Lokomotiv Moscow, but the

04:12deal was terminated after Diara was allegedly unhappy with pay cuts.

04:16Lokomotiv Moscow applied to FIFA for compensation, with its arbitration court finding Diara's

04:22sacking was based on just cause.

04:24The player was ordered to pay the club millions of euros.

04:28Diara claimed his search for a new club was hampered by FIFA rules, stating any new side

04:33would be jointly responsible for paying Lokomotiv compensation.

04:37FIFA 5 Pro, the union representing footballers, celebrated the recent ECJ ruling, saying it

04:43would change the EU's sporting labour market.
