Der im Juni nach jahrelanger Haft freigelassene Wikileaks-Gründer Julian Assange hat bei seinem ersten öffentlichen Auftritt besseren Schutz für Journalisten gefordert. "Die Kriminalisierung von Nachrichtenbeschaffung ist eine Bedrohung für den investigativen Journalismus weltweit", sagte Assange vor der Parlamentarischen Versammlung des Europarats. Journalismus sei kein Verbrechen, sondern ein Stützpfeiler einer freien und informierten Gesellschaft.
