00:26And Comilec said that if the candidates will be eating their Certificate of Candidacy for the election of 2025
00:32that will start on Tuesday, October 1, this will not be considered as premature campaigning.
00:48The COC filing can be done in person or with the help of an authorized representative.
00:52Comilec clarified that the candidates who will be eating their Certificate of Candidacy or COC are not yet official candidates but aspirants.
00:59They are only candidates on the first day of the campaign period.
01:03The aspirants will not be allowed to substitute after the week of filing their Certificate of Candidacy or COC.
01:10After October 8, we will no longer accept withdrawals with substitutions.
01:15Any reason for withdrawal except death or disqualification.
01:20In the party list, Comilec NBank allowed to substitute up to 10 nominees.
01:27For the midterm elections in May 12, 2025, 18,218 national and local positions will be contested.
01:35Including 12 senators, 254 district representatives, and 63 party list representatives.
01:42And for the first time, 25 members of parliament and 40 representatives of the Bangsa Moro Autonomous Region in Muslimin, Danau will be allowed to vote.
01:51The COC filing schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from October 1 to 8.
01:56The filing of the COC in BARMM will be in November.
01:59In the provinces, Comilec and police are already preparing for the COC filing.
