00:00It's very chickeny looking.
00:03This line of foods just came out a couple of days ago, so we're gonna try it out and
00:07see how it tastes.
00:08People are increasingly on these injectable weight loss drugs where they just aren't hungry
00:14anymore and so they're eating less junk food, their taste preferences are changing.
00:19Big food companies are aware of this and so Nestle has just released a line of frozen
00:25prepackaged meals for people on these drugs like Osempic or Wigovi.
00:30This is a teriyaki chicken meal with white meat chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes, bell
00:36pepper, pineapple, and a sweet sauce.
00:39Oh my gosh, it is definitely super frozen.
00:55All right, oh my gosh, I can smell the pineapple for sure.
01:04Let's compare.
01:05If you're on Wigovi or like one of these other weight loss drugs, this might look like enough
01:11food for you, but it's pretty small.
01:15It's not like the driest chicken I've ever had, which is nice.
01:20I wouldn't say like I would reach for this, but it's fine.
01:24I can see how if you didn't have that much of an appetite, you just weren't interested
01:29in eating, you're not interested in cooking.
01:33This is obviously a very like protein-y, chicken-y thing that you could have in the middle of
01:38the day and not have to worry as much about muscle loss and some of these other problems
01:43that people on these drugs have sometimes.
01:45So a lot of people will do like a protein shake for breakfast, but you can't just have
01:49like three protein shakes a day, that would get super monotonous and boring.
01:53I mean, it's less than $5 and you can just grab it from the freezer and go, so it really
01:58is designed to just be attractive to someone who's looking for like a small meal to eat
02:03at work.
02:04Nestle said they want this to be an option for like anyone, even if you're not on these
02:08weight loss drugs.
02:09When I spoke with Nestle, they were talking about how they're always noticing what's trending,
02:14what's new.
02:15So they're kind of leaning into like what's trendy for like fitness, portion control,
02:20and all of those things.
02:21I spoke with a dietician who is not affiliated with Nestle and she said if she was working
02:27with someone for weight loss, she would actually recommend even more protein per meal, like
02:31maybe 30 grams at a minimum.
02:35But because people on these drugs just like aren't that hungry, I think if there was more
02:39protein in here, it would actually be like too filling, too challenging for them to eat.
02:45They also have like a decent amount of vitamin A, some potassium, just trying to make sure
02:50that these people who are, again, not eating nearly as much as they used to are getting
02:55enough nutrients into their body.
02:57The one thing that the independent...
