00:00When I became a Muslim, I was told by somebody I had turned my back on my Jewish identity, my Jewish people.

00:09I believe and worship the God of Musa, the God of Moses.

00:13I remember my mom actually telling me that the Jews are waiting for their next prophet.

00:19Many Jews migrated to Medina in modern-day Saudi Arabia,

00:25awaiting a prophet mentioned in the Old Testament that this prophet will emigrate from Mecca to Medina

00:33and their people, the people of Medina will rejoice at his arrival, Muhammad ﷺ.

00:40When he finally arrived in Medina, the most knowledgeable of the Jews,

00:46a rabbi called Abdullah ibn Salam recognized him because of his knowledge of the scriptures.

00:51He recognized him and he accepted Islam.

00:54Am I not following in the footsteps of my people?
