Kerr talks Steph, Draymond and 11th season as Warriors coach

Steve Kerr believes Golden State have been 'forgotten about' ahead of the new NBA season.

00:00Staff and Draymond are here and ready to roll and there's a good vibe for sure.

00:04We don't have an all-time great roster like we did, so it's up to us as a staff

00:09to figure out what that means.

00:16I do think that we've been forgotten about a little bit and, you know, it makes

00:21sense where we are. I mean, we didn't make the playoffs last year. That's how it

00:25works. We'll miss Chris and Clay, but it also opens up an opportunity to maybe

00:29play a little bit differently.

00:32Great question. I'm leaving that kind of up in the air.

00:37I feel pretty confident I might start Steph, probably, you know, if he if he

00:43earns it. He loves life so much.

00:45He wakes up excited.

00:47He doesn't sleep that much because I think he's so excited to wake up and face

00:50the day. He does a million things because he genuinely cares and he's connected

00:55and he loves doing them.

00:56He's impacted so many people's lives, both on and off the court.

01:01It's pretty remarkable to watch.

01:02Draymond remains one of the best defenders in the league.

01:05He's excited for the season.

01:08You know, I thought he had a good, good year last year when he was on the floor,

01:11but obviously we missed him during the suspension.

01:15We've got to do everything we can to to help Draymond have another good year.

01:20He's right in his physical prime and we've seen him do it.

01:24We helped us win a championship.

01:26I'm expecting a big year from Wiggs.

01:28Traditionally, we've we've been a top 10 defense.

01:32I just want to get back to being really good at that and knowing we can we can

01:38count on our ability to get stops, whatever the ranking is.

01:41I'm very lucky, obviously.

01:43I mean, the coaches that last the longest are the ones who get attached to Steph

01:48Curry or, you know, someone like that.

01:51We're in big business.

01:52There's big money involved.

01:54Of course, every coach would like to see more stability in the profession, but

02:00it is what it is.

02:01This is what we've chosen.

02:03I think we're going to be really good.

02:04I believe in this team and I'm excited for our prospects.

02:07We just got to go out and be the best team we can be.
