00:46Kapuso Stars' first stop is the Pamanang Museum

00:49that holds the story of the rich culture and history of the town.

00:53Did you know that on September 28, 1949,

00:56the former President, Alpidjo Quirino,

01:00changed the name of the town to Angadanan Viejo?

01:03He named it Alicia as a tribute to his wife, Alicia Siquia Quirino.

01:09They also visited one of the oldest churches in the province.

01:13Just a little bit of information, Kapuso.

01:15The Our Lady of Atocha Church that was built by the Spaniards in the 18th century

01:19was declared by the Department of Tourism

01:22as one of the National Religious Tourist Destinations here in our country.

01:27Alicia is also known as the largest rice producer in Cagayan Valley.

01:31That's why every April, the town organizes the colorful and lively Pagay Festival

01:36as a thank you to the rich food.

01:39Some of their products are made from rice

01:41that were grown by Alicia,

01:43such as their rice coffee and their big naiwai.
