00:00I started with the sheriff's office in 2007, and

00:03a pursuit related to a border crossing was actually unheard of.

00:07In 2023, there was 173, 174 pursuit related directly to illegal

00:12crossings of the border.

00:14The biggest challenge right now in Pinal County, with most Arizona counties,

00:19is the wide open porous border that we have right now.

00:23Just the absolutely amazing number of people that are coming across our country,

00:28that are unchecked, unverified, and like she said earlier,

00:32300,000 children have been lost.

00:35What we want people to do is use the front door.

00:37My beautiful wife is an immigrant from another country.

00:40We went through the process.

00:41It was long and it was arduous.

00:43We have people that are legally trying to enter the United States, and

00:46they're being told they're on a six to ten year waiting list from countries that

00:50they've put in the paperwork and they wanna move here for.
