Two tourists missing after floods hit central Italy

Heavy rains have caused thousands to evacuate in Central Europe, Italy and the United Kingdom.

00:08Two foreign tourists, a five-month-old baby and his grandmother, were missing on Tuesday

00:14after floods hit overnight.

00:17Italian authorities said rescuers searched for the two using divers, rescue dogs and

00:22drones.

00:23According to firefighters, the baby's parents and grandfather were rescued.

00:29Meanwhile, parts of the UK were submerged by flash floods after some areas saw up to

00:34two months' worth of rainfall in two days.

00:38Roads were closed, some train lines in London were suspended, while dozens of people in

00:43central and southern England reported their houses being submerged.

00:48Extreme weather has wreaked havoc across Europe this year, with high temperatures, intense
