High up in the Middle Atlas mountains lies the Moroccan town of Ifrane, the next stop in our Golf Travel Tales series.

00:20Now this nature reserve offers a refreshing break.

00:23We're at over 1,600 meters altitude.

00:26Now as you can see, the mountains and the wildlife are absolutely breathtaking.

00:30This is a dream destination for golfers and nature lovers.

00:34In winter, Ifran turns into a mountain ski resort, a haven for winter sport enthusiasts,

00:40covering an expansive 500 kilometers of cedar forest, green hills, and rugged mountain landscapes

00:46within the Middle Atlas Mountains.

00:50This is such a beautiful place.

00:53Yeah, we are now in Ifran National Park.

00:56This place is known for many different species.

00:58And what about all these trees?

01:00Is this the Atlas Cedar?

01:02Yeah, you can find all these kind of trees in this region.

01:06It's famous for many different fauna and flora, exactly the Atlas Cedar.

01:11And how about the monkeys that I've seen?

01:13Yeah, there are a lot of species here.

01:16We have here a kind of monkeys named macaque.

01:21This kind of monkeys is kind and it's playful.

01:25Ifran gives you the opportunity to get back to nature on some breathtaking hikes or even

01:30horse riding through the forest.

01:32Now it's time for a round of golf at the incredible Mischliffen Golf and Country Club.

01:41If there is a man of golf in Morocco, it's the Mischliffen Golf Club.

01:44It was signed and its architecture was made by Jack Nichols.

01:48It's a marvel to play golf here.

01:50This Par 72 18-hole course perfectly embraces the natural landscape of the region,

01:56featuring oaks and cedars as well as rocky massifs.

02:01Their signature hole is the 17th.

02:03The fairway is very narrow and there is a large lake on the right.

02:08So the opening of the game is on the left to better attack the green.

02:12Then we have hole number 18.

02:14Hole number 18 on the left, there is the forest and there is a view that is unobstructed on the middle atlas.

02:22We see the mountains and it's very pleasant to play.

02:27They have everything a golfer could dream of, including a state-of-the-art golf simulator.

03:44This is what we call la tombe de chef.

03:47The process of making this cheese is the same process of making the parmigiano.

03:53And this one, as you may know, is made with goat's cheese.

03:58And this one, as you may know, this is the country that is originally from the goat,

04:04this mountain, called Kandahar.
