00:04best upcoming movies. I won't lie the highly anticipated sequel to 2021's

00:09Mortal Kombat is shaping up to be an utter smash hit with this exciting

00:14casting news because it looks like Karl Urban is in final talks to play the

00:18iconic Johnny Cage. Urban known for his impressive roles in Thor Ragnarok, The

00:24Boys, Star Trek and Dread is set to bring his undeniable talent to the upcoming

00:29film which is scheduled to start shooting this summer in his home country

00:32of Australia. If you're a fan of the series you'll recall that Johnny Cage

00:36was teased in the post-credits scene of the first Mortal Kombat film and now

00:40with Urban potentially taking on the role it's got us all wondering if he can

00:44pull off Cage's signature split punch. With a healthy dose of Hollywood smarm

00:49and a goofy demeanor Urban definitely has the chops to do this character

00:53justice. But what about the other characters? Chin Han and Joe Taslim are

00:58set to return as Shang Tsung and Sub-Zero Bi-Han respectively. But who else

01:03will join the fray? We'll have to wait and see. We do know that plenty of

01:07combatants met their demise in the first film but in the Mortal Kombat universe

01:11death is rarely an obstacle. We are going to enter the neon lit world of Alita

01:17once again because the much-awaited sequel is finally on the horizon. That's

01:22right fans of the 2019 cyberpunk action flick Alita Battle Angel will be

01:27thrilled to hear that the project's director and lead star are currently in

01:30talks to bring you the long-awaited follow-up. So there's no release date as

01:35of now. Producer John Landau spilled the beans on the sequels development and it

01:39seems that a good portion of the credit goes to Avatar the Way of Water the

01:43upcoming Avatar sequel. Landau shared that the intricate facial expressions

01:48and nuances that they learned while working on the Avatar sequel will be

01:51instrumental in bringing the emotional and humanoid Alita to life once again.

01:56The best part? The same creative team and cast that brought us the first Alita

02:00movie are expected to return for the sequel ensuring a seamless transition as

02:05the franchise moves from Fox to Disney. The greatly anticipated sequel to the

02:112018 animated superhero hit Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse is swinging into

02:16theaters with a whopping runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes making it the

02:20longest major animated film ever made by a Hollywood studio. That's right it beats

02:25out the previous record holder 2012's Consuming Spirits by a full four minutes.

02:30But hey, long movies are all the rage these days right? From Guardians of the

02:35Galaxy volume 3 to John Wick chapter 4 and even upcoming flicks like Indiana

02:40Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon it

02:45seems like we just can't get enough of those hefty runtimes. One reason for

02:50Spider-Man across the Spider-Verse's length could be its all-star cast

02:53featuring Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and a host of other A-listers playing

02:58different versions of spider heroes from alternate universes. And while it's a

03:03bummer that Nicolas Cage won't be reprising his role as Spider-Man Noir

03:07with a cast like this I think we are still in for a wild ride.

03:11This is not a drill! Bugs Bunny is back baby! Warner Brothers has hired writer

03:17Robert Rugen to work on a new live-action and animation hybrid movie

03:21featuring everyone's favorite Looney Tunes character. While the studio hasn't

03:25made an official announcement yet I for one am already buzzing about what

03:29everyone's favorite bunny will be up to in this modern-day adventure. Bugs has

03:34been hopping through pop culture for almost a century starring in countless

03:37cartoons and films since his debut in 1938. His most recent big-screen

03:43appearance was in Space Jam A New Legacy where he and the rest of the Looney Tunes

03:47helped LeBron James win a basketball game and reconcile with his son. But Bugs

03:52has also teamed up with other big-name stars like Brendan Fraser in Looney Tunes

03:56Back in Action where he had to rescue Daffy Duck from Hollywood executives who

04:00wanted to make him a star on his own. I can't wait to see what this movie is

04:04gonna bring to the table. Ladies and gentlemen the impossible has been

04:10accomplished! The much-awaited summer blockbuster Mission Impossible Dead

04:14Reckoning part 1 has officially wrapped production. Director Christopher McQuarrie

04:18took to Instagram to break the news thanking his incredible crew for all

04:23their hard work in bringing the epic film to life. As we eagerly await the

04:27July 12th 2023 release McQuarrie has already hinted at the second part of the

04:32story Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 2 which is set to hit theaters on

04:37June 28th 2024. The film has certainly had a rocky road to production with

04:42multiple delays due to the pandemic and scheduling conflicts. But with Cruise's

04:47recent box-office success in Top Gun Maverick we have no doubt that Dead

04:51Reckoning part 1 will be a massive hit. And for those lucky enough to attend

04:55CinemaCon 2023 Paramount teased 20 minutes of footage from the film sending

05:00fans into a frenzy. So mark your calendars folks July 12th 2023 is the

05:06day we finally get to witness the thrilling first part of this two-part

05:10seemingly impossible but always possible story. I'm not kidding Middle

05:17Earth is about to make a triumphant return to the big screen. That's right

05:21Lord of the Rings fans it is time for all of us to once again make our way to

05:25the cinema in hordes for the Lord of the Rings War of the Rohirrim. This highly

05:30anticipated anime film, that's right it won't be live-action, promises to take us

05:35on a journey to the kingdom of Rohan and introduce us to a host of lesser-known

05:39characters from J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved universe. But don't worry this isn't some

05:45hastily thrown together production hoping to cash in on the current Middle

05:48Earth renaissance. New Line Cinema, Warner Brothers Animation and Sola

05:52Entertainment are combining their expertise to produce a visually stunning

05:57film that will still take its cues from Peter Jackson's iconic trilogy. Plus the

06:02legendary Tolkien illustrators Alan Lee and John Howe are involved ensuring that

06:07the new film stays true to the heart of the source material. As for the cast

06:11we've already got some exciting names confirmed including Miranda Otto

06:15returning to her role as the fierce Eowyn and Brian Cox stepping into the

06:20role of the legendary King of Rohan Helm Hammerhand. And while we'll have to wait

06:25a bit longer for the official trailer we'll get a first look at the movie in

06:28June at the Annecy Film Festival. So set the date April 12th 2024 because Middle

06:34Earth is calling. We all know at this point that Ryan Reynolds is set to

06:39reprise his role as the wisecracking fourth wall breaking superhero in

06:43Deadpool 3 and that he'll be joined by a slew of returning actors and some

06:48exciting new faces. But wait there's more. According to Deadline Rob Delaney will

06:53be back as Peter the only human member of X-Force the superhero squad that met

06:58a grisly fate in the last film. You remember Peter right? The ordinary guy

07:02who answered Deadpool's Craigslist ad and ended up getting melted by

07:06Zeitgeist's acid vomit? Yeah that guy. The addition of Delaney to the cast

07:11suggests that we can expect even more returning characters than we initially

07:15thought. Along with Reynolds and Delaney Marina

07:17Baccarin, Karin Soni, Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapisic and Hugh Jackman have all

07:23been confirmed to reprise their roles. And newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew

07:27McFadden are also set to join the fray. But don't get too excited just yet folks

07:32we still have over a year to wait before we get to see Deadpool and the gang back

07:36in action. The film isn't slated for release until November 8th 2024 so sit

07:41tight keep your eyes peeled for more news and remember with Deadpool anything can

07:46happen. Whenever we see a giant monster movie we just want to keep seeing it

07:52don't we? The same was the case with the Cloverfield monster which was a part of

07:56the Cloverfield experiment franchise which began with the 2008 found footage

08:01monster movie has included various spinoffs and entries including 2016's

08:0610 Cloverfield Lane and 2018's The Cloverfield Paradox. The in-universe

08:11slush show website has officially reopened this week according to our

08:15pals at slash film hinting that the viral advertising campaign for

08:19Cloverfield 2 is starting to take shape. Slush show is a made-up beverage in the

08:24Cloverfield universe and the website was a part of the grand ARG campaign for the

08:28first film. The business asserts that the addition of the seabed's nectar also

08:33significantly improves its health. The component was allegedly discovered on

08:37the deep ocean floor under amazing pressure and extreme cold according to

08:42the history section of the official slush show website. Creating these flavor

08:46combinations is the only thing you can currently do on the website but we

08:50believe this is just the beginning of the Cloverfield saga's viral comeback.

08:54The Cloverfield Paradox explains that a rupture in the space-time continuum

08:58poured all kinds of creatures out into all kinds of other timelines in the

09:03Cloverfield Paradox but the Cloverfield sequels up to this point have

09:06effectively been unconnected films with vague links to filmmaker Matt Reeves's

09:112008 film. Ready to cheat death once again? The Final Destination franchise is

09:18back and it's about to give you another round of heart-pumping Rube Goldbergian

09:22deaths that will make you think twice before leaving your house. In case you

09:26need a refresher, Final Destination follows a group of young people who

09:30cheat death after one of them has a premonition of a fatal event. But death,

09:35being the vengeful entity that it is, starts to come for them one by one in

09:39the most gruesome and creative ways possible. And now, after years of waiting,

09:44Final Destination 6 is officially in the works. Though we don't have an official

09:49release date yet, we do know that Zak Lepovsky and Adam B. Stein, the duo

09:54behind 2018's Freaks, will be directing the sequel. Plus, Craig Perry is back as

09:59a producer and he's hinted that the film may focus on first responders

10:03dealing with life-and-death situations every day. As for the cast, nothing has

10:08been confirmed yet but original stars Devin Sawa and Tony Todd have expressed

10:12interest in returning. So will they make a comeback? Only time will tell. One

10:17thing's for sure though, if you're a fan of Final Destination's trademark blend

10:21of horror, you're gonna be excited about this one. Fans and insiders alike are

10:27itching to know who Marvel will cast as the beloved members of the first family

10:31of the MCU. And it seems like every day there's a new casting rumor flying

10:36around. And I'm in on all of them. Mila Kunis was recently spotted at a deli

10:40with the film's director Matt Shachman, leading to wild speculation that she'd

10:45be playing a female version of Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. But Kunis was quick

10:50to deny these rumors, leaving fans wondering who could possibly fill the

10:54big rocky shoes of the Fantastic Four's resident bruiser. But wait, there's more.

10:59Did you know that there's already been a female version of The Thing? Meet Darla

11:04Deering, a former girlfriend of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, who joined the

11:09team in a replacement Fantastic Four lineup. Darla wears Thing rings that,

11:14when combined, create the Thing exoskeleton, a super suit with crazy

11:19strength and durability. Could this be a hint at what's to come for the Fantastic

11:23Four? And what about those other casting rumors? Adam Driver as Reed Richards,

11:28Margot Robbie as Sue Storm, Paul Mescal as Johnny Storm, Antonio Banderas as

11:34Galactus. The possibilities are endless. We gotta keep our eyes peeled for this

11:38one, because this film keeps overflowing with speculation before its 14th of
