00:00Let's make a Valhalla ladder also called driftwood garland or witches ladders

00:04These are made from driftwood and hung outside usually from trees or from door frames

00:09And they're used to kind of as a just as a little blessing for the safe return of those who have left your home

00:14There is no real historical connection to the Viking slash Norse that TV and historical cosplayers like to believe

00:21But they are fun and beautiful and that in of itself can be all the reason you need

00:24Not everything has to be historically correct for it to be enjoyed

00:27Driftwood while very light is actually really hard and that's due to

00:32Minerals being impregnated into it while it is in the water
