Warm and dry with plenty of sunshine developing on Thursday once early mist, fog and low cloud clears. Showers will develop though from Friday and over the weekend, some heavy and thundery.

00:06Today though, on Thursday, any early patches of mist, fog and low cloud will soon lift

00:09and clear to reveal another fine day as it will be dry with plenty of sunshine and the

00:14best of these will be during the afternoon. Feeling warm in that sunshine too with temperatures

00:18above average for the time of year, but it will be a little bit breezy in the south.

00:23Now across northern Britain into Friday and over the weekend it will continue to be dry

00:26with plenty of sunshine, but our temperatures will start to dip slightly as we head into

00:30next week. Further south though, showers will develop on Friday and will become more frequent

00:36over the weekend. Some of these showers will be locally heavy and persistent, so let's

00:41keep an eye out for any weather warnings which may be issued.
