Federer hopes to see Rafa back on tennis court   Former tennis champion Roger Federer said on Tuesday (September 17) that he hoped that Rafael Nadal would be able to play another season.   The Spanish multiple French and US Open winner had announced his withdrawal from the 2024 Laver Cup where he was part of Team Europe.   The multiple day tennis event is co-organized by Federer and played in Berlin, Germany for the first time in its seven year history. 00:22So now I think he has to get his body right.

00:25He has to reassess his options and his goals.

00:29But I think, look, whatever he does, everything is correct in his mind.

00:34He's done everything for our sport.

00:35He's been an incredible champion.

00:37And yeah, I wish him only the best.

00:39And of course, if he still got the energy to consider a whole season,

00:45that would be incredible.
