00:14The organizers and residents decorated the venue with lanterns along with Chinese riddles,
00:20which are traditions passed down for generations.
00:23The attendees were entertained by lion dance and cultural performances.
00:27The Barisan National and Pakatan Harapan leaders also took the opportunity to woo voters to
00:34support their candidate, Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah, in the September 28 Mahkota by-election.
00:42Johor Menteri Besar Datuk On Hafiz Ghazi captivated the attendees in his speech with Mandarin-speaking
00:49skills, saying that he has great expectations for the people of Johor and will lead the
00:54state to a more robust economic development.
01:04Armno Supreme Council Member Datuk Sri Ahmad Maslan said the tremendous turnout showed
01:09that the people backed the ruling government and its Mahkota by-election candidate.
