Hi colleagues, are you still enthusiastic about learning static fluid physics?
00:06
Still enthusiastic huh?
00:09
This time, we will discuss Pascal's law.
00:13
What is Pascal's law?
00:15
Let's read the written statement of Pascal's law first.
00:19
That the pressure exerted on a liquid in a closed space is transmitted equally in all directions.
00:28
Understand this definition correctly.
00:31
There are two important sentences there.
00:34
The first important sentence is the pressure given.
00:39
This means that this is additional pressure, not absolute pressure.
00:47
The second important sentence is of the same magnitude.
00:51
The additional pressure value is the same.
00:57
To understand this concept visually, we have a spherical bottle.
01:04
If you look at the front, this bottle is similar to a perfume bottle.
01:11
Well, this bottle is filled to the brim with water.
01:17
There is a stopper on the bottle cap.
01:22
So in this bottle there is no air cavity at all.
01:26
This is understandable.
01:31
Now, the bottle stopper is pushed down by an external force.
01:37
Because the pushing force is perpendicular to the surface of the bottle blockage,
01:43
the force exerts pressure.
01:48
This is added pressure.
01:53
So the additional stress is caused by external processes.
01:59
This pressure will be transmitted into the fluid to the same extent.
02:04
Let's assume the pressure value is P1.
02:09
The value of the additional pressure is the same.
02:13
Even though at the surface, the hydrostatic pressure is not the same,
02:18
the additional value of the pressure is the same.
02:23
If we install a pressure gauge here, here, and here,
02:30
so the hydrostatic pressure value at that point is different.
02:35
This is true, yes.
02:38
When the bottle is blocked, the water in the bottle is trapped.
02:43
Each point will receive the same additional pressure.
02:47
The hydrostatic pressure value at each point will get the same addition.
02:54
This is what is meant by Pascal law.
02:59
We will discuss this in more detail in the next series.
