00:05It's basically just a question and answer game.

00:09We'll just mention something and then you tell us the first three things that pop to your mind.

00:14So when we ask you the question, the first three answers.

00:17Okay, so here we go. Oliver, tell us the top three things that are very Australian.

00:24I mean that make somebody truly Australian.

00:26I'm saying mate, g'day mate, very Australian.

00:30I think wearing, well we call them thongs, but in other countries they call them flip flops.

00:38Yeah, because we have a different idea of what thongs are.

00:41Yes, which is so funny to us.

00:43But yeah, that's a big thing in Australia.

00:46Wearing board shorts, long boardies and thongs with a beer in your hand is the most Australian thing you can ever do.

00:54That's probably three right there.

00:56Okay, that can be three. The beer in the hands and then the boardies.

01:00It's the most Australian thing ever.

01:03I thought you might have said surfing but then you said you're the only one who doesn't surf in Byron Bay.

01:07Yeah, I can't relate to that.

01:10How about the three most famous Australian food that you can think of?

01:15Well, meat pies probably. Someone told me that was actually from New Zealand, but we claim it anyway.

01:22But they're actually delicious.

01:25They're different than anywhere else around the world.

01:27I didn't realise this until I travelled the world and I came back and I'm like, nothing beats a good meat pie.

01:32So definitely meat pie.

01:34We have some really, I don't know if it's necessarily, it's not unique to Australia,

01:39but we have some of the best meat, the best lamb in the world.

01:42And I noticed that on the room service menu, I had a look at it and they had Australian lamb and they had that all around the world.

01:49So our meat is very good. We have a lot of farms in Australia.

01:52As you can imagine, it's all just bush and farm.

01:56So we have a lot of very good meat.

01:58What else? We don't have, that's one thing we don't have many.

02:02So see, sometimes I'm thinking we do have different ideas of other countries.

02:06I mean, when you're on the outside looking in, because I thought maybe you'd say fish and chips,

02:09because that's our idea of Australia, fish and chips.

02:11Or is that something locals eat?

02:13It's actually not very popular in Australia.

02:16I get it that people see that. It's a very British thing.

02:20But I think that's the thing, we adopted everything from Britain.

02:23So everything that's kind of Australian is actually British.

02:28Except meat pies, I think.

02:30So meat pie is 100%.

02:33Okay, I'm trying to think if we have our own version of meat pie that you might like.

02:37But maybe you can try an empanada, but I'm not sure if it would be the same.

02:42And I'm sure it's definitely smaller.

02:45Yeah, we can get the big meat pie, they're the best.

02:47They have like a chunky steak, you can get like a steak, bacon and cheese.

02:51Oh my God, that's so good.

02:53Wow, so we must travel to Australia and try their meat pies.

02:58Yeah.

02:59Okay, how about this?

03:01Oh, okay, maybe three famous Australian slang phrases that you can tell us.

03:06Well, yeah, g'day mate is a big one.

03:08One thing that I don't even know if Australians say, but it's iconic is

03:12Chunk of shrimp on the barbie.

03:14Chunk of, can you say it again?

03:16Chunk of shrimp?

03:17Chunk of shrimp on the barbie.

03:19Barbie as in barbecue?

03:21Yeah, barbecue is a very, that's another very Australian thing.

03:26Having backyard barbecues, that's slang.

03:29I don't even know why, I don't even know why people say that.

03:32I've never had anyone ever barbecue shrimp, but it's such an Australian thing.

03:36Okay.

03:37There's one, but it's a little bit vulgar.

03:39Am I allowed to swear on this?

03:41We probably wouldn't know.

03:42Is it like a, it's a go ahead, you know, just go ahead and tell us.

03:46I'll tell you, I'm not here to F spiders.

03:49That is the phrase itself, which you probably could understand.

03:54It means I'm not here to mess around.

03:56I'm not here to F around.

03:57I'm not here to, yeah.

03:59Pretty self explanatory.

04:01That's another Australian thing.

04:02We swear a lot.

04:04It's a pre-warning.

04:06I always have to get told just cut down on the swear words when you're doing

04:10Because we, it's part of our everyday language.

04:12Yeah.

04:13And it's not meant to be offensive all the time, right?

04:15No, it's very, it's very like, it's so funny when we go, when I go overseas and I swear

04:19and everyone gets a little offended.

04:21I'm like, I'm just, it's not, it's not meant to be offensive at all.

04:23It's like our daily language is very offensive actually, but we don't take it that way.

04:29You just have to follow it up with a quick explanation.

04:32I'm Australian.

04:33Yeah.

04:34I'm Australian.

04:35Yeah.

04:36All right.

04:37Well, thanks for letting us know.

04:38So when we do visit, we'll know what to say.

04:41Yes.

04:42Okay.

04:45You've only been here a few hours, but maybe you did some research before coming.

04:47Is there any Filipino food that you want to try?

04:50Yes, there is.

04:51And it's funny because I have some in my hotel right now.

04:54We ordered it before.

04:55We ordered it from Room 7 because my manager was like, you got to try the adobo.

04:59So I have adobo that I'm about to eat after this.

05:03So I can't exactly tell you how it is because I've never tried it, but it is sitting there waiting for me.

05:13And if you have time for dessert and if it's on room service, try halo-halo.

05:22It has ice cream and all sorts of other sweet stuff in it and shaved ice.

05:30How about places in the Philippines that you want to visit?

05:32I mean, you come from the land of great beaches.

05:34Are there beaches here you want to visit?

05:36I don't know the names, but I've seen some incredible photos of all the islands around here.

05:41And it looks beautiful.

05:44I want to do a whole island hop of the Philippines because that looks amazing.

05:50A group player too who I linked up with in Malaysia, they're from Davao.

05:56I think that's how you pronounce it.

05:58Yes.

06:00I'm excited to see.

06:02They tell me it's very beautiful.

06:04They do have great beaches.

06:05And it's about an hour and a half to two hours from Manila by plane.

06:09But it's worth it.

06:10It's worth it when you go.
