00:00An all-new episode of The Braxtons starts now.
00:31Tracy's birthday is coming up.
00:32We should have a birthday party.
00:35Today is about Trace.
00:37Surprise!
00:43I don't want to feel sad. I don't want to feel memories.
00:46I don't want to feel nothing.
00:48Tracy and I did have a lot of disagreements, if I'm honest about it.
00:52But we still very much loved each other.
00:54I got to know a different side of Tracy than to how our relationship was on television.
00:59It was very adult. It was very sister-like.
01:02As amazing The Braxtons was for everyone, for me, that wasn't my story.
01:08And I deserve, you know, to be proud of myself at the end of the day.
01:12I can't be happy about my life if I'm not proud of myself.
01:29Let's make sure everybody is ready.
01:36Tapping with the lighting.
01:37All right, let's go ahead and get going. Here we go.
01:40Hey.
01:41Hey, Mommy.
01:42Hey.
01:43How are you?
01:44I'm good.
01:45I haven't seen you in forever.
01:48It seems like it.
01:49You smell good.
01:50Well, yeah.
01:51You smell great.
01:52Thank you, girl.
01:53What's new?
01:55Nothing out of the cold.
01:57Oh.
01:58I'm not contagious.
01:59Oh, okay.
02:00Mommy is in L.A. to visit some of her friends.
02:03And while she's here, I want to steal her away for just a little bit so she can fill me in on everything that's been going on in Atlanta.
02:09Just tell me what I missed because apparently I missed everything.
02:12Well, okay, then I'll make it.
02:13You know, we celebrated Tracy's birthday.
02:15Yes, yes.
02:16That was nice.
02:17Yes.
02:18That was nice.
02:19Kevin came in town.
02:20Okay.
02:21Okay.
02:22Kevin seemed to be a little out of it.
02:25Hello, Kevin.
02:26He's meeting with Spirit for therapy before he goes back to Maryland.
02:31I am a little concerned about Kevin.
02:35He seems to be a little lost.
02:37He's going through a divorce and what have you, and his mom is not here.
02:42I think he's going to have to have extensive counseling.
02:47Ty's your residency.
02:48How are you doing?
02:50I am nervous.
02:51I've been cautious is the word because I'm never nervous about performing.
02:54I'm just cautious, just making sure I pace myself and don't overdo it.
02:57And catching this cold isn't the best thing.
03:00Mm-hmm.
03:01Yeah.
03:02So when do you start?
03:03Mother's Day.
03:04Mother's Day.
03:05What's great is that the show's all worked out, but I just need to make sure I schedule some rest periods in between so I don't overwork my body.
03:11I don't want the lupus to flare up.
03:13I don't want to do anything to get it excited, so I have to prepare and listen to my body no matter what.
03:18Hello.
03:19Good evening.
03:20How are you doing tonight?
03:21I'm good.
03:22Can I get a hot toddy?
03:23A hot toddy?
03:24I think I'll have a hot cup of tea.
03:27You want to order?
03:29Whatever you eat, that's what I'm going to eat.
03:32So just do our usual.
03:33Of course.
03:34Thank you so much.
03:35You're welcome.
03:36So what about Sed?
03:38Sed is fantastic.
03:40Is he?
03:41Although I'm telling some jokes.
03:42What?
03:43You got jokes on?
03:44He's letting me do a few jokes.
03:46You've been practicing?
03:47I've been practicing.
03:48Yeah.
03:49All right.
03:50We have our hot toddy.
03:51Okay.
03:52Maybe he'll like the joke.
03:53Can you move over here?
03:54Tell me what you think about my joke.
03:55Okay, this is the joke.
03:56Okay.
03:57What do you call a bear with no teeth?
04:02I'm not sure.
04:03A gummy bear.
04:08What?
04:12You didn't think it was funny?
04:13You think it's funny?
04:15I thought it was pretty good.
04:18I have a kid, so I think it was a little funny.
04:20He don't think so.
04:21He's just trying to be crazy.
04:25You're welcome.
04:26Can't wait to get away.
04:27What?
04:29Bye.
04:30Bye.
04:31Did you say that moment when you were over pronto?
04:35Here we go.
04:36Don't tell me another joke.
04:38Just go ahead and sing.
04:40I enjoy that.
04:42Trina and I went shopping to find me a dress.
04:46Oh, that's long enough.
04:47Now that's cute.
04:48Yeah, that's me.
04:50That's more me.
04:51For what?
04:54What?
04:56Aren't you setting something up for me?
05:01Oh, the date thing.
05:04You were serious about that?
05:06I thought you were serious.
05:08My kids are still trying to get me to go out on dates.
05:14Especially Tony, trying to set up a date for me.
05:19Are they always the wrong ones, though?
05:23I don't know.
05:24I'm nervous about it.
05:26I'm going to do it.
05:27I'm going to get you a date.
05:29What about a retired basketball player?
05:32They have bad knees.
05:33They're not wrapped too tight because they get knocked down,
05:37bump their heads.
05:40Uh-uh.
05:41Okay.
05:43What about a professor?
05:44Well, you see, they might have Alzheimer's because they use their brains so much.
05:52The only thing left of mine is a 30-, 40-year-old.
05:54That's all I got for you.
05:55Oh, no, we don't roll like that.
05:58Mommy has very high standards for everything in her life, and most of all, men.
06:03Miss E is picky as...
06:05I like tall guys.
06:07So she would be tall.
06:08Financially?
06:09Stable.
06:10Somebody that's successful.
06:11I don't like roughneck.
06:13I wouldn't think you would like a roughneck, Ma.
06:16And she wants him to walk like Denzel Washington.
06:21I don't know where we're going to find this guy.
06:23I really do think the guy, that right guy, is out there,
06:25so I'm going to make some calls to my friends,
06:27and we'll never stop looking until we find the perfect guy for her.
06:32Ma, I think you should hang out with your girlfriends,
06:34and maybe they need to tell you what you need to date.
06:36I was thinking about talking to my girlfriend, Maybelline.
06:39Auntie George May.
06:40Yeah, yeah.
06:42I think I'm going to do that.
06:44I just wanted to know the number.
06:45Like, 50's too young.
06:46Girl, that's my children age.
06:48That's your age.
06:4960's too young.
06:51Is 82 old?
06:54Now that's the joke.
06:59What the devil I'm going to do with that?
07:00God have mercy.
07:03She pulled it up now.
07:07What are you doing with all that?
07:11What is it?
07:13How you doing?
07:15Hey, baby.
07:17Yes, honey.
07:19I love you.
07:21I love you.
07:23Thank you for doing this.
07:25Carlos King is a reality TV star.
07:29Carlos King is a reality TV producer and creator.
07:35And when Tracy was sick, she wanted to tell her story.
07:40So I called Carlos.
07:43He held on to that secret.
07:46And that's how Carlos and I became very, very good friends.
07:51OK, so listen.
07:52What are we doing?
07:53OK, so this is real talk.
07:58Tonight is all about you.
08:01OK.
08:02It's all about you.
08:03What that mean?
08:04What that means is we are going to have a conversation.
08:08About what?
08:09We're going to talk about the past, present, and future.
08:14You're such a producer.
08:15You're over here.
08:17This is all about you.
08:19This is your phone.
08:20This is your screen.
08:22This is for you to let me say what you need to say so I can get out there and tell everybody all my damn business.
08:26No, I'm not.
08:27No.
08:28Carlos is a kiki.
08:30So I'm feeling excited about being here, but a little nervous.
08:34Because messy Monday, it's time to get messy on a Monday.
08:38OK, what we not talking about?
08:40Well, listen.
08:41With you and I, nothing's off limits.
08:43However.com backslash org.
08:47I know the limitations.
08:49First of all, not.
08:53Why the lip purse, honey?
08:59Do you know I know what love?
09:00I can't take your lipstick purse.
09:03Everybody wants to know about the Braxton's and why is it coming back and why I specifically, you know, am a part of this.
09:12I mean, I don't have a problem talking about the show because, you know, I have nothing to hide.
09:16My truth is my truth.
09:18And it's the truth.
09:19And I mean, I'm here for Tracy.
09:22We're going to have fun.
09:23It's a kiki.
09:24It's a live conversation.
09:26And it's really all about you.
09:28So that's that's all we're going to do.
09:29OK.
09:31We're going to have so much fun.
09:32Oh, my God.
09:33Carlos, I am drunk.
09:42Even though they say the show must go on, sometimes shows get canceled.
09:50But Braxton's are back.
09:53How has filming been so far?
09:55Well, I'm a friend to the show, so I'm not really quite sure.
09:58The first go around, I almost lost my life.
10:00I can't allow that to happen to me.
10:07They were talking and then he started slurring.
10:10Then she said the phone blacked out.
10:12Kevin is in the valley in the shadow of death.
10:20Oh.
10:41Hey, Mikey.
10:43Welcome, welcome.
10:44Mikey.
10:45Hey, Summerbug.
10:46Hi.
10:47Oh, you got it all set up.
10:49Oh, what's that?
10:53This is for Unbreak My Heart.
10:55Oh, I love it.
10:57With my Vegas residency being just around the corner, my stylist, Ashley, and I are meeting just to make some final decisions.
11:04What should I try on first?
11:06What are we doing?
11:07I want to try on the white one.
11:09OK, I'm going to try it on.
11:10Residency shows are bigger than they ever were.
11:13The wardrobe is a huge, huge part of that.
11:16Yada.
11:17OK.
11:18What do you think?
11:20A little naked.
11:21Let me tie you in the back.
11:22Naked bootyish though, huh?
11:24Naked bootyish?
11:25I feel so naked.
11:26Do you?
11:27It's just your leg out, T.
11:28I know, but.
11:29You got one leg out.
11:30And then you got this side zip.
11:35I hate this shoe, though.
11:36We're not doing this shoe, right?
11:37No, no, no.
11:38OK.
11:39What's wrong with this shoe?
11:40This shoe is horrible.
11:41You know that's not the shoe.
11:43Let me try on one more for the after party.
11:45OK.
11:48A little short thing.
11:50I think it might be.
11:51Guys, I think this looks too Easter.
11:55You know, Mommy wears colors.
11:56She loves these colors.
11:57This and blues.
11:59Mommy!
12:00I got to hook Mommy up.
12:01I'm trying to find her a date.
12:02When I told Mommy a week ago that I'd help set her up on a blind date,
12:06I didn't realize she was ready to go, like, right away.
12:10So I need to make it happen before she changes her mind.
12:13You know anybody.
12:14Think of somebody.
12:15Let's put Miss E on the app.
12:17I don't know if she's going to do the app thing.
12:18She ain't going to do the app?
12:19No.
12:20Just don't get her on Grindr.
12:21That's the wrong one for Mommy.
12:22I don't know nothing about those number names.
12:25Keep her on Grindr.
12:26My brother's single.
12:27Miss E is special.
12:28How old is your brother?
12:29He's 50.
12:30He's trying to get me killed.
12:32I don't mess with nobody my children's age.
12:34OK.
12:35Let's give it, like, eight bucks.
12:37You like this dress, right?
12:38I like this dress.
12:39I like this dress.
12:40I just think the color is a little too Easter.
12:41Wouldn't this be beautiful in white?
12:43I would love this in white.
12:44With the white blazers?
12:45Yes.
12:46What are you doing your white line for boys?
12:48I want to do something for, and I want to do something for the boys,
12:51because they look so good in these suits.
12:52Denim's modeling.
12:53I didn't tell you Denim's modeling.
12:55Can't he walk in my shoes?
12:56He wore your suits?
12:57Yeah, he wore the suit for the premiere.
12:58But when is the line coming out?
12:59Because Denim's modeling.
13:01I'm working on it.
13:02I want to do something for Fashion Week.
13:03And I'd love to do something with the boys.
13:05OK.
13:06They got to be in it.
13:07I'm not supposed to really help,
13:08but I'm going to tell them that I said something.
13:09Don't say anything.
13:10Don't say anything.
13:11I've already pitched to Denim that my manager,
13:13Kenneth, and I could help manage them.
13:15But it's hard sometimes talking to your kids about these things
13:18without them thinking I'm meddling.
13:21So I have to be delicate, but also straightforward.
13:24Call all your friends.
13:25The denim's available, but also delicate.
13:28Hey, we have a lot of chores.
13:29I have to make eight new dresses for the show,
13:31find mommy a husband that's 80 and fabulous,
13:34and put the boys in the show at a fashion shoot.
13:37It takes a village.
13:38It takes a village.
13:39This is a village.
13:40All right.
13:41I'm making mommy's brain work on it right now.
13:43Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for the one, the only,
14:01Tamar Braxton!
14:20Hi, Tamar.
14:21Hi, my love.
14:22How are you?
14:23I feel healthy and blessed and so, so grateful.
14:30I feel great.
14:31I've never done a live podcast before.
14:32So, you know, it's a little bit different
14:34because I don't know what the hell he gonna say.
14:36What was going on in your life when you felt like
14:41reality TV may be the next phase of my career?
14:45You know, we grew up on shows like
14:47A Different World, 227, right?
14:50Like black scripted television.
14:54And after a while, we just didn't have any of those things
14:58to like compare our lives to
15:00or to identify anybody on television.
15:03And I just felt like there are no examples
15:07of black women on television in all facets of life.
15:11So I just thought it would be important, you know,
15:14to bring that to television.
15:15That was really what it was about.
15:18So here you are.
15:19I remember watching the show
15:22and I was immediately drawn to you.
15:25Why though?
15:27You, I'm gonna tell you what it was.
15:29You came in on the scene, funny than a...
15:33Dot com.
15:34Hey y'all, we're the Gaga Music.
15:36Eh, eh, eh, eh.
15:37And me, me, me, and me.
15:40Feet stick up acid.
15:42Can I ask you to compromise my business?
15:47Have several seats.
15:50This is a lot of money.
15:52It's your life.
15:53You're team too much.
15:54Point blank, end the period.
15:56You are arguably, immediately the breakout star.
16:01Did that have an effect
16:03on your relationship with your family?
16:05You are so, it's messy Monday, huh?
16:08No.
16:11I'm not really sure.
16:13I don't know how to answer that question.
16:15Honestly?
16:16She said honestly.
16:18Wow.
16:20It definitely started a lot of tension, if I'm honest.
16:25Do you regret doing the show?
16:26Do you feel like if the show never happened,
16:29the relationship would be different?
16:31Relationship wise, yes.
16:34But for the culture, no.
16:36It was necessary.
16:37The Braxton's was good for the culture
16:39because it was important for our culture to know
16:41that, you know, we are not outcasts.
16:44We had a lot of lessons on Braxton family values
16:47that a lot of families can relate to and understood.
16:50And sometimes when you watch somebody
16:52going through the same situations
16:53that you're going through, it helps you get over yours.
16:56Do you mind taking us back to that moment
16:59to all of your dreams are coming true,
17:02but did you feel like it was at the cost of your marriage?
17:07Hi.
17:15Vince and I, I was 26 years old when we started dating.
17:22Yeah.
17:23I didn't know that.
17:24Yes.
17:24During that time, we were basically growing up together.
17:28And sometimes when you grow up with your spouse,
17:30you grow apart.
17:32Although I learned a lot from Vince,
17:36I also am more proud of a business woman
17:39and the artist that I am today.
17:42And so, I mean, my love for him when I was that young
17:47was very true, very honest.
17:50And I do feel like it was just for that time.
17:55I'm happy to hear that you guys are in a good place.
17:56Yeah, we're in a great place.
17:57It means a lot to me.
17:58Speaking of good place, the Braxtons are back.
18:01Woo!
18:07I'm gonna have to sip on the Patron, honey.
18:10All of, you know, you ladies are back.
18:13And obviously, rest in peace, Tracy,
18:14who we love and we miss dearly.
18:17Rest in peace, Tracy.
18:19So, you guys are currently filming.
18:21How has filming been so far?
18:23Well, I'm a friend to the show,
18:24so I'm not really quite sure.
18:32It's supposed to be a blind date, guys.
18:35I want him to fulfill all of my needs.
18:38That's right.
18:40How you feeling?
18:41Emotionally drained, I can't deny it.
18:43You know, it's scary,
18:44because that is my sister and I love her.
18:46Once you lose a sibling,
18:49the worst thought in the world is losing another one.
18:52I got, like, betrayed.
18:54They were talking and then the phone blacked out.
19:01So, you guys are currently filming.
19:03How has filming been so far?
19:05Well, I'm a friend to the show,
19:06so I'm not really quite sure.
19:15Well, only because, you know,
19:16I have to be mentally responsible.
19:19You know, it was a lot for me,
19:21and a lot of people want to feel like
19:24everything that I went through was fake
19:28or it wasn't real.
19:30Fake.
19:31Or to get out of a contract,
19:32I think I heard that somewhere, ridiculous.
19:34And it wasn't.
19:35I was really going through it.
19:37I really felt captive.
19:39And it was not the best mental situation.
19:43I've been wanting to quit the Braggs since season three.
19:47Everybody has already made up their minds about me,
19:50and there's only so much bashing one person can take.
19:55Tamar, do not leave.
19:56Yes, Tamar, we are talking.
19:58This is my last scene.
19:59This is my last scene and season.
20:03The first go around, I almost lost my life.
20:06And I can't allow that to happen to me.
20:09I have a responsibility for my son.
20:11I have a responsibility to show up for myself.
20:13And my boundaries are very firm,
20:17and they're not to be rude or anything.
20:20It's just that I have to remain healthy.
20:23I just didn't want to go back
20:25because I didn't want to put myself in that predicament.
20:27Now, since then, if I'm being fair,
20:29there are different people over there now.
20:31Yes, it is.
20:32Who look like us.
20:35Yeah.
20:36Something.
20:37I'm a friend to the show.
20:39Ah!
20:40Ah!
20:40No, this is not shade.
20:42I changed my comment.
20:44Ah!
20:47It's not.
20:49It's not shade.
20:51Is it?
20:52Okay, so being a friend to the show,
20:53is that easier for you?
20:55Do you feel more...
20:57Do you feel more at ease,
20:59knowing that you don't have the pressures
21:00of carrying the show again?
21:03No.
21:05Is that...
21:06No, I don't think that's every...
21:07What about Toni Braxton?
21:08Y'all tooted for Toni Braxton.
21:10Oh, we live!
21:11No, we love her!
21:12First of all, listen.
21:12Don't do that.
21:13We tooted for Tracy.
21:14We tooted for Tracy.
21:15We tooted for all of us.
21:16Trina, Trina's a hood, my lord.
21:19We love Tawanda.
21:20Oh, yeah!
21:21I think people think that I am someone that I'm not.
21:24I love attention and I want all the attention
21:27and that is the farthest from the truth.
21:29I wanted it to be about all of us
21:31and that is still the goal today.
21:34You have made my dreams come true tonight.
21:37I am a lucky, lucky boy to call you my friend
21:41and I love you.
21:55Been down before, but now I'm better than I've ever been.
22:01She like it over her eye cause it's sexy.
22:03I'm just kidding.
22:04Just checking in.
22:05And Missy will kind of take lead
22:06and just tell you what's been happening.
22:07Oh, okay.
22:08Okay.
22:14Hey, guys!
22:15Hey!
22:16Hey, you!
22:17Mwah!
22:18Mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah!
22:21Well, sit the whole thing down.
22:23It's good when sister girls get together and make you laugh.
22:29I wanted to talk to my friends,
22:31Marla, Angela, and Judge Maybelline
22:35about dating because I know that they're dating.
22:39What have you been up to?
22:41Well, I just finished a cooking show with Tamar.
22:46Oh, really?
22:46Oh, okay.
22:47What'd you cook?
22:48I made the seafood blend,
22:51smothered pork chops with grits.
22:54Oh, that's a new take on it.
22:56Instead of shrimp and grits.
22:57I've never had pork chops with grits.
22:58Yeah.
22:59Even to this old Southern belle.
23:01I get it.
23:03So what's been going on with the other side,
23:06with the dating side?
23:07I hear you trying to date.
23:07Are we dating?
23:08I hear you trying to date.
23:09Are we dating again?
23:10It's supposed to be a blind date, guys.
23:12So who's setting this up?
23:13Tamar?
23:14Who's the chosen?
23:15You know my kids.
23:16And I have to watch my children.
23:19Cause remember Tawana set me up with that 27 year old boy.
23:23Just trust me.
23:24You will have fun.
23:26What age?
23:26About 70, 80?
23:28No.
23:30How old are you?
23:3127.
23:33No.
23:35All righty then.
23:37How we doing?
23:37How are you?
23:38You came for a margarita or some prosecco?
23:41I think I want the orange ginger stir fry.
23:43Okay, of course.
23:43I don't have any reservations at all
23:45about meeting new people.
23:47You just don't want to just sit in one little old corner
23:50and say, well, my life is over.
23:53I guess I'll just, you know, sit here.
23:57You don't do that.
23:58No.
23:59So give us your criteria.
24:00He got to have at least some sense.
24:01He at least has to be tall.
24:04He have to have some sense.
24:06And guys, he have to have a bag.
24:08A bag.
24:09And not a colostomy bag.
24:11Not a colostomy bag.
24:13That green bag.
24:14You got to have some money.
24:15You got to be tall.
24:18That looks good too.
24:19That looks great.
24:21As we age, they tend not to be as interested
24:26in the sexuality and sensuality as much.
24:31Now, is that an important factor in your life?
24:34Good question.
24:35If that desire hit me,
24:37I want him to fulfill all of my needs.
24:41That's right.
24:42What did she say?
24:43If that desire hit me.
24:45Who does she think she talking to?
24:47I don't know.
24:49And especially at 48 and holding.
24:52Oh yeah.
24:53I changed from 39 and holding to 48 and holding.
24:58You're 30.
24:58You're still pretty old.
24:59She's staying on 30.
25:01As spiritual beings, we don't have no age.
25:04Oh.
25:04So I choose to vibrate on 30.
25:09She said vibrate.
25:10Vibrate.
25:14I ain't getting into that.
25:15You got to change the word, vibrate.
25:17Cause they bad.
25:18I ain't getting into that.
25:19They bad.
25:20I'm just saying.
25:22You know that's made believe.
25:24Do you care about sex?
25:28Been there, done that.
25:30Actually, it's something you can do for yourself.
25:32Oh, no, she didn't say that.
25:33The second time.
25:35No, she didn't.
25:35I love her.
25:36It sound like you ready.
25:38Like ready, ready.
25:39Well, I'm ready.
25:40Freddie.
25:41She ready for Freddie.
25:44Or Teddy.
25:45Or Eddie.
25:51You'll always be my baby boy.
25:53Always going to be Toni Braxton's son,
25:55but Denna Braxton.
25:56I want that to mean something as well.
25:57You know what I mean?
26:00That was the girl with the phone, Liv.
26:02She just completed her divorce.
26:05I feel like I got like betrayed.
26:10I just want to powder you a bit.
26:12What do you usually do?
26:14My mom be doing it for me.
26:15I don't know the name of anything.
26:17For my last shoot,
26:18she just came by and like did her own thing.
26:21Put everything on pause.
26:24Mom's always know best.
26:27I'm just kidding.
26:27I'm kidding.
26:28I'm kidding.
26:29I'm kidding.
26:30I'm kidding.
26:31I'm kidding.
26:32I'm kidding.
26:32I'm kidding.
26:33I'm kidding.
26:34I'm kidding.
26:35I'm kidding.
26:36I'm kidding.
26:37I'm kidding.
26:38I'm kidding.
26:38I'm kidding.
26:40I'm kidding.
26:54Hey Danny.
26:56How is it going?
26:58Good.
27:00That's perfect I´m gonna come in on your face.
27:02Okay.
27:04I've been in this business for some time now
27:06so I'm gonna stop by Denim's photo shoot
27:08and try not to embarrass him too much.
27:12Hi, I'm Denim's mom.
27:13Hi, nice to meet you.
27:14Nice to meet you.
27:15OK.
27:16Even though I'm his mom, I'm actually thinking of this
27:19as a business meeting, you know?
27:21I'm hoping he'll be open to me managing him.
27:24And I want to see how serious he is about modeling.
27:27This test shoot could just be the beginning.
27:30I just want to make sure he has the best
27:32start to his career as possible.
27:34OK.
27:37Chin up.
27:40Got it.
27:41All right, let's check those.
27:42Can I look at them?
27:44Yes.
27:45OK, let's see.
27:46Oh, that's nice.
27:47I like that.
27:48Oh, the green is lovely.
27:49You just pull that way.
27:50I'm going to be honest, I'm concerned,
27:51because the fashion and the entertainment world
27:53can be very cutthroat and competitive.
27:55But I got to be careful, though, or I'll never
27:58get invited to his set again.
28:00She's probably going to post on her little Instagram
28:03with a cringey caption.
28:05What's a cringey caption?
28:06She has some cringey captions.
28:08What does cringey captions mean?
28:09She could call me, like, pookie bear or something.
28:11I'm not dealing with that.
28:12Seriously, mom?
28:13Seriously, mom?
28:14It's like it's so painful for them.
28:16Why do boys do that?
28:18Let's do a mom pose.
28:20Let me do a mom pose.
28:22This is a mom pose, right?
28:23I've learned a thing or two about how you don't strike a pose
28:26or pick the perfect shot.
28:29Most people enjoy having their picture taken with me.
28:31I think we got it.
28:32We got it?
28:34Let's do that.
28:35You can post that one.
28:36I'll let you post that one.
28:36I can post that.
28:37That's the one.
28:38Thank you so much.
28:39I got you.
28:40I remember the good old days when
28:42I could drop him off at school and hug and kiss on him.
28:44And it all changed when he turned five.
28:49This is nice.
28:49It's good.
28:50I'm finally taking this modeling thing seriously.
28:53Yeah?
28:53I feel like it's going to go well.
28:55So you want to do modeling?
28:58It's kind of like, with me, I'm always
29:01grateful for my upbringing, and you, and dad,
29:05and my whole family for always supporting me,
29:08but just creating my own name.
29:11Always going to be Tony Braxton's son,
29:12but then a Braxton.
29:14I want that to mean something as well.
29:15You know what I mean?
29:18I get it.
29:19Thank you again, mom.
29:20Love you.
29:20I love you, too.
29:21I'm your mom, so I'm not supposed to say this out loud,
29:24but you'll always be my baby boy.
29:26My oldest baby boy.
29:27Oldest.
29:28Not baby.
29:28Just oldest.
29:30I can't believe how mature and independent
29:33Adam is right now.
29:34I'm so proud.
29:35Obviously, he doesn't want my management help.
29:38He wants to prove he can be his own man.
29:40What mother could be mad at that?
29:42You just kiss them and let them live their lives.
29:46Making moves.
29:47Mm-hmm.
29:48Can we go get something to eat?
29:49Yeah.
29:49What you want to eat?
29:50Mr. Charles.
29:51Right.
29:56I'm Taz.
29:56I'm a healer.
29:57I do crossing over where I get to connect with people
30:00that have passed on.
30:01Is there anything you'd like to say to her?
30:02Yeah.
30:03Um, I have a lot of regret.
30:06Oh.
30:12Make sure I'm right, you know?
30:14I'm trying to catch my children a stepdaddy.
30:23I don't know if I should trust my daughters
30:26trying to find me a date.
30:28But Tony found somebody.
30:30And I did not have to look very hard to figure
30:35out who my date was.
30:38This has to be him.
30:40Let me check it out.
30:44Well, well, good afternoon.
30:47Good afternoon.
30:48I'm fine.
30:49How are you?
30:49I go to Blue Boyz, so we hug.
30:51We don't shake ladies' hands.
30:52OK.
30:53Sounds good to me.
30:55He was a nice height.
30:57I like him taller.
30:58But at our age, we shrink.
31:01Everything on was purple.
31:03But if that's what he wanted to do, all righty then.
31:07What is your name?
31:08Shelly.
31:09Shelly Christian.
31:10Oh, OK.
31:11OK.
31:12Evelyn Grace.
31:13You know, I didn't know that.
31:14You didn't know that?
31:15No, I didn't.
31:16Yeah, right.
31:19I'm going to tell you right now, I like to have fun.
31:21I'm a good jokester.
31:22That's OK.
31:22That's OK.
31:23Me, too.
31:24I haven't found anyone yet.
31:26I'm a typical.
31:28I just eat regular food.
31:29Give me a hamburger, lobster, all these tiny dishes
31:36right there.
31:37I don't even eat spaghetti.
31:38Wow.
31:39As men get older, they're not going to change.
31:43They're just who they are, baby girls and baby boys.
31:47They're not going to really change.
31:49Give me a little insight about you,
31:50and I can get back to me again.
31:52Well, got married when I was two.
31:55I had my oldest child when I was three.
32:00I got a divorce when I was 10.
32:04I had six kids, and the rest is history.
32:08I'm not going to complain at all, you know?
32:09Yeah, I know that's right.
32:11I would think there'd be a million men
32:13knocking on your door trying to get to take you out.
32:15I got to be chosen.
32:17Maybe the men that knocked on my door,
32:20maybe I just didn't answer.
32:25Don't you got black folk food?
32:27Black folk food?
32:28Yeah.
32:29The chicken sandwich.
32:31Let's get my chicken sandwich.
32:32And for you?
32:33I don't think I'll have the same thing.
32:36But anyway.
32:38Well, give me some more about you.
32:39There's only three people in my house, me, myself, and I.
32:43I've been horseback riding.
32:45I eat cabbage, and I eat spinach, you know?
32:47I was in Tower of Paris, first two of us.
32:50I've been in quite a few fashion shows.
32:53My kids say they're going to stop me from driving.
32:55I'm not a wallflower, you know?
32:57I mean, I can go with the flow.
32:58I told you I like to have fun.
33:00Yeah, I see.
33:02It's my understanding that your daughter sent you.
33:05My daughter.
33:06And I said, now, it may or may not be true.
33:08You ain't getting off.
33:09Those are some big fries.
33:10Good God.
33:12You're welcome.
33:13What kind of fries are these?
33:14Yucca fritas.
33:16OK.
33:17Enjoy.
33:19You're welcome.
33:21Did she say yucca frita?
33:23Yucca frita.
33:24I said, I don't know what that is.
33:25All I heard was the yucca.
33:27Don't start this lie.
33:28Don't start this lie.
33:30Will you see him again?
33:35I think that for someone else, he would be great.
33:39For me, no.
33:42I'm going to have her to wrap this for me.
33:45We both will.
33:46Yeah.
33:47So you keep your pride, don't you?
33:51It was a nice gathering.
33:53But I didn't see any need for exchanging numbers.
33:58So I guess we still family.
33:59I don't know what nobody said, I think, you know?
34:04I'm waiting on somebody to give us a Q&A as to whether we can
34:06get up or whether he's tennis.
34:08So, you know, the good thing about the family industry,
34:11we can always edit it out.
34:12OK.
34:14Thank you so much.
34:16I appreciate you.
34:17I'm out.
34:21I'm out.
34:34I feel like this year has been the hardest year.
34:37My wife, she was just like, oh, yeah, I want a divorce.
34:39I don't know where it came from.
34:41So the divorce was unexpected?
34:43Got blindsided, actually.
34:44I tell her every day, I'm going to fight for my family.
34:46She says, I couldn't fight for it.
34:48It's playing with my emotions, because I want my family back.
34:53You have to give yourself permission
34:56to do what's best for you.
35:16OK.
35:17Hey, where is he?
35:19Look, so it came out of it.
35:21OK.
35:22But he definitely had a seizure.
35:24And he's a little all over the place.
35:25Of course.
35:26We said the police would go get his medicine.
35:29But you should go check on him.
35:30He's supposed to catch his flight tonight.
35:32I don't know.
35:33If he's going to be able to do that?
35:34I don't know, really.
35:35You know, I'm hoping that if he gets his medicine, he's OK.
35:38He's inside.
35:39All right, yeah, Olivia called me.
35:40OK.
35:41They were FaceTiming.
35:42When it happened?
35:43Yeah.
35:43Really?
35:44So they were talking, and then he started slurring.
35:47And she was like, what's going on?
35:48And he said, he feels weird.
35:50Yeah.
35:51Then she said the phone blacked out.
35:53So she texted me, and she said, Kev may be having a seizure.
35:57Wow.
35:58He isn't answering.
35:59Yeah, he got a lot going on.
36:00Yeah, it's a stress.
36:01It's stress-induced.
36:02Yeah.
36:03Little Kevin started getting seizures after Tracy passed.
36:08I am thankful that production was there with him,
36:11because he wasn't alone.
36:13And they were able to make sure that he was safe.
36:17I love you.
36:18I love you, too.
36:24Hey.
36:24You OK?
36:25I'm good.
36:27OK.
36:28I'm good.
36:29I'm just going to take my medicine more.
36:30Yes, you do have to take your medicine more.
36:33Let's try to call my mom.
36:34Yeah.
36:35Let me see her bike.
36:38Is it OK if I tell her?
36:39Yeah.
36:40I was going to let you hear this.
36:42Hey, Mama.
36:43Hey.
36:44Well, I got you on speaker.
36:46I'm with Scratchy.
36:49He had a seizure.
36:51Lord have mercy.
36:53Hey, baby.
36:54Hey, Mama.
36:56Are you smelling me here?
36:58Yeah, up there, but on my arm.
37:00Can we get some ice?
37:01Say it again, Mama?
37:03Say, how are you feeling now?
37:05I'm OK.
37:06I think I was just stressed.
37:07We're going to have to lighten your load.
37:10Right.
37:11It's a lot.
37:12It is.
37:12It was a lot.
37:13So we have to limit what you're doing.
37:17They want him to do it twice a day.
37:20OK?
37:20It's a thousand milligrams.
37:22Don't do it twice a day.
37:24No, ma'am.
37:24Production got his medicine for him.
37:27I'm just so nervous for him.
37:28He's a little jittery, you know?
37:31I know in between his grief for his mom and his divorce,
37:36there is so much that he has suppressed,
37:39and this is how it's coming out.
37:42You have court?
37:43I have court.
37:43And when is it, tomorrow?
37:44Tomorrow.
37:45Is that in Maryland?
37:47That's in Maryland, yes, ma'am.
37:49Well, Liv did mention she said she will reschedule it.
37:52Yeah!
37:53Yeah.
37:53Mommy, I'm going to call his wife now to see if she
37:56can postpone the court.
37:59Yeah.
38:00OK, bye.
38:00Bye.
38:01OK.
38:02Bye.
38:03Yeah, that'd be the main thing to say,
38:05if she's open to not, you know, going or rescheduling.
38:08Let me ask her.
38:09I've spoken with Kevin's ex, Olivia.
38:11They recommended him not to fly tonight.
38:14And I'm just grateful that even with everything that's going on,
38:18she's being understanding and had the care to call
38:21me when he was in trouble.
38:24Yeah, you need to relax.
38:25Yeah, the question is, being by myself, you know, too.
38:31You're afraid to be by yourself the whole time?
38:32That's not what I was, you know?
38:34I just check on me.
38:35I just check on me while I'm in there.
38:37It's calm.
38:38Of course I am.
38:39Are you kidding me?
38:40You've got 100 people that's gone.
38:41You ain't going to get no sleep.
38:42Because everybody's going to be calling you every five minutes.
39:01Hey, hey, hey.
39:03Yes, I'm good.
39:05How are you?
39:06OK.
39:07All righty then.
39:09Come on in the room.
39:10Come on.
39:11Freeze it.
39:13My boy's handsome face.
39:16How you coming along, baby?
39:17What's up?
39:18You seem so sullen.
39:19What's going on?
39:21Little Kevin sent me a text to say that there were
39:23some developments on his divorce.
39:26Divorce is hard.
39:28And no one wins.
39:29And I know that from experience.
39:31Because I've been through it, too.
39:33But Mommy and I are trying to stay calm
39:35because little Kevin's health is fragile as it is.
39:38And we're here to build him up.
39:39And that's what he needs right now.
39:42Yesterday was kind of scary.
39:44So that was a lot.
39:47I asked the guy with the phone if she
39:49discontinued her divorce.
39:53And took full custody of baby Kevin.
39:59You can appeal that.
40:00Yeah.
40:01You really can.
40:02Put him up in my house.
40:03She took that, too.
40:06I'm sorry.
40:07Me, too.
40:10It's kind of a gut punch right now.
40:12Yes, it is.
40:13She told me she was going to reschedule it.
40:17And she didn't do it.
40:18So I kind of feel like I got, like,
40:19betrayed more than she already did.
40:23You know what?
40:24People say all's fair in love and war.
40:26I can't speak for Olivia and what she chose to do
40:29and what she didn't choose to do.
40:30Sometimes when you're going through that,
40:32you can only see what's happening to you.
40:35You know?
40:37No one wins.
40:38No one wins in a divorce.
40:40Yeah, it's been about 24 hours.
40:43Yes, it has.
40:45That's a lot, buddy.
40:46Yeah, it's a lot.
40:47Yeah.
40:48That's a lot for one person to go through in such
40:51a short span of time there.
40:53You're going to get through this.
40:56You're going to have to somehow get with your lawyer.
41:00You make sure you and that boy, it's like,
41:03he needs you as a father.
41:08You'll be all right.
41:10I'm a mixture of I am.
41:11Yes, you are.
41:12Why?
41:13Because you're your mother's son.
41:16Mm-hmm.
41:17Ain't no doubt about that.
41:19She didn't let things get her down.
41:21You push her down on one end, she bounced up on the other.
41:25And that's who you are.
41:29You'll be all right.
41:33Well, we love you very much.
41:34Very much.
41:35And the door is always open.
41:37100% of the time.
41:39What worries me about little Kevin right now
41:45is that he's in the valley in the shadow of death.
41:52We'll meet you downstairs.
41:53Thank you, baby.
41:54Thank you, baby.
41:55He cannot really find happiness right now
42:00until he gets through the valley.
42:04And I believe it's going to take a while.
42:23Next Friday on The Braxtons.
42:24Where's Tamar?
42:25And how does it make you feel that Tamar is in the shoot?
42:28She's doing her own marketing shoot.
42:29I don't feel connected to this whole production again.
42:33How are you feeling?
42:34Emotionally drained, I can't deny it.
42:35My nerves have been all over the place.
42:37Thinking about my health issues and my return to Vegas.
42:40Because I'm not doing great.
42:41The Braxtons, all new next Friday at 9 30.
42:44Part of.
