00:00Mr. President, what do you say to Vladimir Putin's threat of war?
00:09I say you be quiet while I speak, okay?
00:12That's what I say.
00:13Good idea?
00:14What do you say to Vladimir Putin's threat of war, sir?
00:17It's a serious threat.
00:18All right, all right.
00:19You got to be quiet and I'm going to make a statement, okay?
00:22All right.
00:23Anyway, Mr. Prime Minister, welcome.
00:25Welcome back to the White House.
00:27As the President has often said, there's no issue of global consequence when the United
00:30States and the United Kingdom can't work together.
00:33And we'll discuss some of these things right now.
00:36First, Ukraine.
00:38I want to thank you for the UK leadership in this country.
00:43The United States is proud to stand with you.
00:45The second thing is it's a country against which there's no slow regression.
00:49And it's clear that Putin will not make it through.
00:52Putin will not prevail.
00:53There's war and people will be in pain.
00:56Second, Middle East.
00:58Today, we'll discuss our work to secure a deal in the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean
01:03hostage issue with the government run by Hamas.
01:06We need to cease fire and increase the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
01:10And thirdly, we're going to be talking about the Indo-Pacific, knowing how important our
01:15future is.
01:16And I'm so proud to be part of this partnership with Australia and with the Middle Eastern
01:22the last three years, we've made the region more free, open, and secure.
01:25Mr. Prime Minister, thank you very much for being here.
01:28And I look forward to the rest of the conversation.
01:31Mr. President, thank you very much for those words.
01:33Thank you for the invitation to be back here just two months after our last meeting here.
01:38And it's really important with great allies, that special relationship, to have this time
01:44to talk about the global issues you have just identified, starting of course with Ukraine,
01:49where I think the next few weeks and months will be crucial, very, very important.
01:55We support Ukraine in this fight for freedom.
02:00And so I look forward to discussing that with you.
02:03The Middle East, of course, again, vital in the coming weeks and months and elsewhere
02:08in the world.
02:09I think that historically, we've shown the strength of our relationship, that we are
02:14strategically aligned.
02:16We have common cause on these global issues.
02:18And therefore, it's very important for us to have this opportunity to talk them through,
02:23not just as a matter of tactics, but also the wider strategy that underpins them.
02:28So thank you for the invitation.
02:30It's very good to be here again.
02:31What do you say to Vladimir Putin's threat of war, Mr. President?
02:35I don't think much about Vladimir Putin.
02:38Do you take that threat seriously?
