00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launch of the Agri-Puhunan and Pantawid Program in Nueva Ecija.

00:12This is a way for farmers to help their needs and to avoid debt during the pandemic.

00:21The President also said that this program is also a way for farmers to contribute to the development of the country.

00:34Felipe suffered a huge loss after his farm was severely affected by the recent typhoons.

00:41This is a big blow for him because his income is affected.

00:44It's hard. There's no income. There's no fault.

00:48To avoid the debt of farmers who have a big interest,

00:53President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. launched the Agri-Puhunan and Pantawid Program

00:59on the same day of his birthday.

01:01Under the program, the beneficiaries will be given an Interventions Monitoring Card or IMC.

01:07Under the card, they will receive input credits worth Php 28,000

01:13that they can use to buy seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and other inputs needed for farming

01:20from DA-accredited merchants and to avail services from service providers.

01:26According to the President, this is a step by the government to recognize farmers

01:30in their role in food security of the country.

01:32You are the ones who live in our country.

01:35Our prosperity comes from you.

01:39In your hands, the security of the food of our country rests.

01:44It is only right that we honor and recognize your heroism

01:52and give your unparalleled diligence and hard work.

01:57Aside from the so-called input credits,

01:59they will receive Php 8,000 every month for four months,

02:03which is a total of Php 32,000.

02:06According to the President, this is a goal to meet the needs of their families

02:10while waiting for the growth of their crops.

02:13And when it comes to rice,

02:16the National Food Authority will help to buy 5 tons or 100 sacks of rice

02:23at a price that will not go down to Php 21 per kilo.

02:33Your income per hectare can reach Php 105,000

02:40that will surely be included in your IMCs.

02:46The financial support that Php 8,000 will provide is big.

02:53That is what is good for the government.

02:56Farmers also have a birthday wish for the President.

02:59I hope that he will have a long life and be kind.

03:02I hope that he will fulfill all the programs he said for us farmers.

03:08My birthday wish is that he will have a long life

03:11so that he can help others like us farmers.

03:14But the President's wish for his brother-in-law is still for them.

03:18The birthday wish is easy.

03:20It can be fulfilled by all farmers in the Philippines.

03:26They can feel this program.

03:28All the programs that we do in the Department of Agriculture,

03:32all that we do to help the DVP,

03:37all the financing institutions,

03:40the whole system of agriculture,

03:43my birthday wish is that we can complete it

03:46so that the sector of agriculture can run well

03:50so that every farmer, their family and every Filipino can have a good life.

03:56Some programs and services were done simultaneously in different parts of the country

04:00on the same day of the President's birthday.

04:02Like Kadiwa, Job Fair and others, under the President's auspices,

04:06a sufficient service for all.

04:09The President also announced that the government will pay all the patients

04:14in all public Level 3 hospitals in the country

04:17including Dr. Paulino Garcia Memorial Hospital in Gimba, Nueva Ecija.
