04:25Think that's about to change
04:34What am I worried about I mean it could be cool to have another artist in school
04:42Course if I could see these drawing
04:47Oh
05:00What's he doing that's what I want to know
05:05Oh
05:12Well, what do you think hmm an interesting statement perhaps but a little too post neo-modern for my taste
05:20What does that mean?
05:22I was hoping you could tell me
05:34Hi
05:39I'm Nick Martin. I saw you drawing back in class. Oh, yeah. Well, what were you drawing?
05:49Does he open up with like lasers and blasters and stuff inside? Oh sure. It's fully three-dimensional call him jawbreaker
05:57interesting

06:20Listen where's the principal's office? Come on. I'll show you. Hey, you got any other drawings?
06:25I
06:33Try to be nice now, I guess I'll have to show him how simple it is to draw this can of tuna
06:40Yeah, right
06:47But you were gonna clear that stuff off into the family room or do we eat off the counter tonight
06:51You're looking at a geographical puzzle expert my dear I'll be done in no time
06:58But
07:00If you want, huh, so we're in one of our Cosby moods, are we just consider it a really cheap way to see Europe
07:13It's official everyone must be a blizzard dad's got a jigsaw puzzle
07:17That's right and everyone who helps gets to sleep inside tonight
07:22Well, I'm not into igloos
07:25Well, how come you're exempt? Hey, I'm busy. Okay
07:30Check it out Rembrandt's busy
07:33David darling, it may be a small world after all, but you are not going to put Paris, Texas in France
07:40Well, if you want to get picky, oh
07:42I forgot about dinner Sarah. Would you like to grate some cheese Nick? You want to grate some cheese? I've worked to do

07:53He wants to be alone
07:57That reminds me have you seen Germany
08:02Kenya
08:05You
08:09Knock it off. You're just jealous cuz all you can play is the radio. I am NOT jealous
08:15Sure, that's why you've been trying to draw that bucket of bolts all night
08:19Hey, I was just messing around if you were drawing that two-ton toaster. It's obviously gonna be a mess look
08:27I've never drawn that kind of stuff before with all those angles and stuff. I don't care if Todd can draw
08:35I mean he could draw what he draws
08:38Besides, what's the big deal around here?
08:41The guy tries to change what he draws and everybody makes a federal case out of it
08:52Okay, Nero knock it off
08:55Really good until you isn't it? Hey, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to trade you in for a robot mop
09:04What are you looking at chrome dome
09:08All right, so maybe I overreacted a little I mean who knows having another cartoonist at school could be a lot of laughs
09:18What's so funny, I'm just goofing off really this kind of drawing really isn't that hard
09:24Especially if you had any training
09:27Hey guys, uh who wants to loan me 50 cents
09:32Hey nice drawing
09:34Pretty good drawing. What can you do like that Martin?
09:45Hey, it's just a joke man, yeah really funny

10:12Nice one Derek, would you stop me? Oh
10:15Nick, did you see this on the bulletin board?
10:17It's something you might be particularly interested in the Eastfield Winter Carnival is holding a poster contest and the winning entry will be posted
10:25All over town and printed in the paper
10:28Gee
10:30Thanks, mrs. Harmon
10:31And I understand you're a wonderful artist to Todd. So you'll probably want to enter
10:37Thanks, uh might be fun
10:40Fun right now. The only thing that would be fun is putting this puffed-up Picasso in his place once and for all
10:51And we'll see several paintings from the 1500s at the museum on Friday
10:55Now who can name one of the most famous artists of the Renaissance period Davinci?
11:01Very good. You're both, right
11:03Actually, the Narda da Vinci was considered a genius not just as an artist
11:08But also as an inventor a mathematician and an architect
11:12In fact, he and Michelangelo who was also brilliant and versatile
11:25I
11:50Welcome you to the competition for the painting of the pristine
11:55And
12:04Thank You royal musician
12:12Michelangelo
12:14Tadano

12:21The almost royal grand exalted incredibly excellent Ducatude. Oh, he's good. He's very good
12:29Here's a little portrait. I whipped up this morning of her breakfast. I
12:33Call it
12:35the Moaning Lisa
12:37It's
12:38Stupendous. It's it's it's fabulous. It's wonderful
12:42Do you do business cards? I mean nothing too flashy about this size, but you know, it's sort of a royal
12:48Me
12:50Yes, well very well Michelangelo proceed
12:56Sir no, that's a poor start. I envision a
13:02Magnificent painting that will capture the creation of the entire world
13:10Thus I think you will agree that when you see my sketches I
13:15Should paint the pristine Chapel
13:32Perhaps we'll give you a call when we paint the basement
13:36To Denardo, when can you begin wait, this is my best stuff
13:41I can do better than him away with him away with him. Give me another chance. I can do better

15:58There's this new kid in school
16:01And he draws and all of a sudden everybody thinks he's so great
16:04You mean all this doing is because of some new kid in school. Yeah, but grandma
16:10This kid Todd he blows in the town and he acts like a real creep
16:16And he thinks he's so great
16:19Nick do you think there's a possibility you might be jealous? Oh
16:27Sweetie did you think there wasn't anybody in the world as good as you?
16:32No, did you think that nobody else could draw as well as you?
16:39Honey God gave you the ability to draw to honor him not to honor you
16:45And who do you think you're going to punish by giving up your drawing not Todd the girl I
16:55Just don't feel like drawing anymore
16:58Nick listen to me
17:03Before your grandpa and I went overseas we lost a wonderful position to another missionary couple
17:09We were so jealous. We couldn't see straight
17:13But then when we got to know them we realized how much we had in common
17:20Maybe you should focus on what you and Todd have in common
17:27Instead of on your jealousy
17:42You get to work
18:12You
18:20Take a look and tell me what do you feel?
18:24Where is the joy that once was so real?
18:29Caught in a trap
18:32Seeking glory
18:35The time for change for a change
18:45Isn't a time for change
18:50So let's get

24:25But it's the fact that I let my jealousy get the best of me. I can't quit
24:30Because that's the easy way out
