01:00The recorded sulfur dioxide emission was also high since June 3.

01:05In fact, it was recorded at 9,985 tons per day.

01:09This is the highest ever recorded sulfur dioxide emission.

01:14The movements shown by the volcano in Canlaon

01:18are showing an eruption or a magmatic eruption.

01:40The Chief Volcano Monitoring and Eruption Prediction Division, Maria Antonia Bornas, explained

01:51In 1902, the Canlaon Volcano experienced a magmatic eruption, but it was just weak.

01:57The most deadly ones are the pyroclastic density currents.

02:01This is the mixture of sulfur, hot volcanic gas, hot rocks,

02:08and the eruptions of the volcano and the movement of it,

02:14the currents, mass, or the mixing.

02:19We can see that it goes down or descends or flows away from the volcano.

02:26We can see that there are spinning clouds.

02:31These are very dangerous.

02:33This is very fast, it cannot run.

02:36The local government of Canlaon City

02:39has ordered the pre-emptive evacuation of those living in the 4 kilometers permanent danger zone, the DSWD.

02:47The pre-emptive evacuation of the residents of Canlaon City is underway.

02:51As of now, 88 families or 248 individuals have evacuated.

02:57Currently, there are three separate evacuation centers.

03:01In Barangay Masulog, 65 families or 204 people have evacuated

03:07In Masulog High School in Malaiba, 10 families or 31 individuals are currently staying in Malaiba Elementary School

03:16while three families or 13 people from Barangay Pula are in Pula Elementary School.

03:22The quick reaction team quickly moved to Negros Island after the next eruption in Mount Canlaon.

03:30Meanwhile, the DSWD Field Office 6 Western Visayas is also ready

03:35to relocate those who have pre-positioned their family food packs in Bacolod City and other warehouses in Negros Occidental.

03:42In Canlaon City, almost 7,000 boxes of family food packs have been placed

03:48in addition to non-food items such as hygiene, family, kitchen, sleeping kits, and modular tents.

03:55In Negros Oriental, 14,000 family food packs have been positioned in the DSWD warehouse in Dumaguete City

04:03while 3,400 family food packs have been placed in the storage facility in the town of Valle Hermoso.

04:12Currently, the volcano remains at alert level 2.
