However, multiple international media outlets have already leaked information suggesting that next year's iPhone 17 will undergo a more comprehensive overhaul, with significant upgrades in design, camera, and software. Some experts are even recommending skipping the iPhone 16 and waiting for the iPhone 17.

According to Mashable, the tech website MacRumors claims that the iPhone 17 will be "the biggest update in recent years," with three highly credible reasons that might make users consider skipping the iPhone 16 and going straight for the iPhone 17. First, analysts Jeff Pu and Ross Young have pointed out that Apple plans to introduce a "Slim" series, which will replace the "Plus" models with thinner and lighter devices.

Second, there is a major leap in camera resolution. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the iPhone 17 will feature a 24-megapixel front camera. The last time Apple updated its camera resolution was with the iPhone 11, so this significant upgrade would be exciting. However, it remains unclear whether this camera upgrade will be across all iPhone 17 models or just select ones.

Third, the camera module will be repositioned.
