00:00Meet the young boy who is aging backwards. 11 year old Jayden Skidmore has a rare genetic

00:05disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which weakens the skeletal and heart muscles and

00:10means he has around 10 years to live. His mother Jade says she had a normal pregnancy with her son

00:16and thought everything was fine when he hit his early milestones, such as crawling and walking.

00:21She believes he started having problems with his motor skills between the ages of 3 to 5

00:26when he could not walk properly. The condition is similar to the plot of The Curious Case of

00:30Benjamin Button, in which star Brad Pitt ages backwards from the start. To raise funds for

00:35their son's trip to Florida, his dad Sean is taking one of the world's toughest challenges,

00:40which involves rock climbing, swimming and sprinting. The family plan to take Jayden

00:45swimming with dolphins in Florida, as well as scuba diving and adapted rock climbing.

00:50Their main plan remains helping him to meet the rock.
