00:00The Philippine Para-athletics team's head coach, Joel Dariada, is proud.

00:04In an impressive performance, he showed off his skills,

00:07which were shown by Sandy Asosano and Gerald Mangliwan

00:10in the 2024 Paris Paralympics in France.

00:14That's Paolo Salamatin's report.

00:19The Philippine Para-athletics team is still looking at a lot of things

00:22to celebrate their campaign.

00:25Despite not winning the medal he was hoping for

00:28in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France,

00:31the Paralympian thrower, Sandy Asosano,

00:35showed off his personal best

00:37at a distance of 15.05 meters

00:40and finished as 4th place in the women's javelin throw F54 event

00:44in his first competition in the Paralympics.

00:47Aside from Asosano,

00:48this is the third time Gerald Mangliwan has competed in the Paralympics,

00:54where he gave everything he had

00:57to reach the finals of the competition.

01:00As a coach, I always expect the best from my athletes.

01:05I'm not that surprised or surprised

01:08because I expect a good performance from them.

01:12We have a lot of coaches. We have two coaches here.

01:15Despite not winning the podium finish,

01:18Coach Dariada was sure

01:20that the Para-athletes' fight is not yet over

01:23after winning the Paralympic medal for the country

01:26in 2016.
