PPP projects in Selangor contribute RM71bil in private investment, says Amirudin

Speaking at the launch of the Public-Private Partnership Master Plan 2030 (Pikas 2030) on Monday (Sept 9), Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the implementation of public-private partnership (PPP) projects had spurred economic development in Selangor, contributing an estimated RM71 billion in private investment to the state. 00:07where there are so many PPP projects that have been implemented to include various mega-public facilities

00:14that bring great benefits to the people.

00:17These public infrastructures include the Kesas Festival,

00:21Shah Alam Mulu Kelang Festival,

00:23Shah Alam Damansara Festival,

00:25Lebu Raya Setiawangsa Pantai SPI,

00:28Balai Bomber Kinrara,

00:30Sistem e-Tanah,

00:31Sisa Perpejal Perlupusan Sampah Seneteri Bukit Tagar,

00:34UITM Puncak Alam dan Dengkel,

00:36Pelabuhan Barat dan Pelabuhan Utara di Pelabuhan Kelang,

00:39Lapang Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur.

00:41The implementation of this project contributes to the private investment of RM 71 billion.

00:49The impact of this PPP project is unimaginable.

00:53PPP not only contributes to economic growth,

00:56but also improves the ease of main infrastructure,

01:00and even provides significant social benefits.

01:03For example, the C10 to C17 Terminal Container Expansion Project

01:08at Pelabuhan Barat or Westport,

01:10which has been signed off on 8 December 2023,

01:16will contribute to the economic impact of RM55 billion,

01:21and contribute to the export of RM19 billion to KASA,

01:25which will strengthen Selangor's position as a main logistics hub.

01:31In addition, the project opens up job opportunities,

01:34up to 6,000 full-time job opportunities.

01:37The impact of this social economic surplus and project development

01:41will not only be enjoyed by the people of Selangor,

01:43but will also have an impact on the Malaysian economy

01:47and the lives of the Malaysian people as a whole.

01:51Distinguished Prime Minister and distinguished guests,

01:54I believe that the PPP is a significant development approach

01:58that opens up job opportunities between the Selangor government and the Selangor government.

02:03In this regard, I would like to declare a full commitment to the Selangor government

02:06to prepare and strengthen cooperation with the Selangor government

02:10in implementing projects that will provide benefits and economic surplus to the Selangor government.
