Daniel Suárez discusses what went wrong in the final laps at Atlanta that kept him from sweeping the Atlanta races in 2024.

00:00So I was trying to sweep the Atlanta races this year,

00:02came one spot short.

00:05Looking at that overtime restart,

00:06if you could rewrite the script to that, what

00:09would be different?

00:10I don't know.

00:11I mean, I will have to rewatch everything again.

00:14I was pretty confident that the top was going

00:17to be better with the 22.

00:18And he was going to be able to push me like the one did

00:21in that last restart being on the outside.

00:23But I mean, we got a great launch,

00:26but we just got disconnected too early.

00:28And that really hurt us.

00:30And the 8 and the 54, they were able to get connected

00:33for longer and beat us.

00:34But it's a little painful.

00:36I feel like we were in position.

00:40And sometimes it's very difficult

00:43to predict who is going to get the best push

00:45and for how long you're going to get it.

00:47But it's part of the game, right?

00:49We were in contention.

00:50The team did an amazing job.

00:51The car looked amazing, quicker state.

00:53So thankful for the opportunity to design this amazing car.

00:57So we're happy with it, but not satisfied.
