00:30Yeah I gave it all. I knew it was important to start really fast on this course because the
00:35second part was really really fast and that would have been hard to make the difference.
00:39So I went that hard and I can tell you when you go out hard you have to suffer so much but I
00:47didn't want to have any regrets at the finish line and I really wanted that win and I hope it's
00:52enough. Since when did you add it in her mind and since when were you trying to keep energy for that
00:57TT? Actually it was one of the reasons I came to the Vuelta was when I saw the two TTs and I mean
01:03yeah during the whole Vuelta I was trying to get a stage win on one of the road stages I was really
01:08active. I spent a lot of energy and then in the last week I knew there was like one or two stages
01:15which were interesting for me and the rest I tried to take it as easy as possible so like
01:19the last two days especially and in the end I always told myself you cannot blow up you cannot
01:25blow up but then if you go on tour you don't blow up you just have to push through the pain
01:30and that's what I did. 26-28 your time it's what you were more or less your calculations at the
01:37start? Oh it's always hard to imagine what you're going to do in the race but yeah I knew it was
01:43going to be it was going to be fast and it had to be at a time below 27. How has been this Vuelta
01:48España for you? It was one of the hardest Grand Tours in years and you had also this important
01:55last day so how did you manage the effort and also you were a big favorite some of the days?
01:59Yeah I knew uh whoops sorry yeah I knew uh during like I was struggling uh for the whole summer so
02:07before Tour de Suisse I got sick during my outfit camp I had to I had to cut it short and I got sick
02:13during the tour I was sick also at the Olympic Games so I just wanted to have a good feeling
02:19again in the race and that's what I had in this Vuelta. I really enjoyed this race and yeah I
02:24knew that I I had to keep attention on my weight after the tour because yeah it was so such a
02:29mountainous Vuelta so I managed this quite well and that's also the better you are the less you
02:35suffer in the race the fresher in parentheses you are on the TT for the last day. What do you expect
02:41from the rivals today which names do you think we're gonna see here? Yeah I hope I hope it's
02:47enough to win because uh I think the GC guys they're not gonna risk it all uh I mean it's
02:53it's quite set or at least like Primoz is probably the biggest danger and he has a luckily for me he
02:58has a big advantage so he doesn't need to push it to the absolute limit and nevertheless I think
03:04on this course uh yeah I also for me I I had to win and I hope it's enough to win.
