00:00Hello, I am so, so happy to be here to honor our beloved Tim, who's finally getting his
00:16star.
00:17I mean, giving him this star is sort of like pinning a medal on Mount Everest for being
00:23the tallest mountain.
00:27Tim has such a beautiful and unique understanding of the human heart.
00:32He knows the heartache of the misunderstood, the strange, and unusual.
00:39He doesn't just understand them, he celebrates them.
00:43Whether outcasts, oddballs, terrifying, or hilarious, he gives them depth, humor, and
00:49always a certain gallantry, and he gives them their dignity.
00:55His heroes are the very outcasts that he loves.
00:59So we've been traveling all over the place promoting Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, and I
01:05have been asked so many times what it's like to work with Tim.
01:10And it's actually, to describe it is actually kind of hard.
01:16To work with Tim is like being invited to wander through his heart and imagination.
01:23It's the ultimate cathedral and one of my most cherished and sacred places to be, and
01:28I am eternally grateful for the time that I've spent there.
01:33And on a personal note, Tim, your friendship has been such an enormous gift.
01:41When I met you, I was a weird kid.
01:45And you-
01:46Now you're an adult.
01:47I know.
01:50You affirmed my voice, you reinforced my confidence to be myself, to go against the tides of conformity.
01:57Your creative inclusiveness showed me what true artistic collaboration looked like.
02:04And in other words, you made being a weird girl not just okay, but something to celebrate
02:10and even kind of cool.
02:13And you've carried that torch for us weirdos everywhere, making us all feel seen and valued.
02:24Congratulations, I love you so much.
02:30Thank you so much.
02:35Winona Ryder, everybody.
