00:29As the two announced that they would be homeschooling their children, taking them out of the Montessori
00:35school they previously attended, the husband and wife, who share a daughter named Olivia
00:416 and two sons named Lucar 5 and Atlas 3, revealed the exciting news to Country Now
00:50and talked a bit about what the important decision meant to the family.
00:53I feel like even just our headspace has already shifted knowing that we're going to be homeschooling
01:00Like the way that we try to teach, Hubbard explained.
01:04But then I was thinking about it, as parents, you do homeschool your kids, you teach them
01:10day in and day out.
01:11The country music style went on, so I think it's going to be magnified a bit and multiplied.
01:17But we don't necessarily need to send our kids to school for eight hours a day to let
01:22someone else teach them whatever they're going to teach.
01:26Hubbard noted that his kids are really excited about schooling and shared how he thought
01:31the decision would also be beneficial for himself and Haley as parents.
01:36I think it also is kind of just a season where Haley and I have been growing a lot as parents
01:41and ... really being accountable for how you raise your kids and what you're teaching them.
01:47The cruise singer admitted that the couple would have to figure some things out as they
01:51go along.
01:52Telling the publication, we won't have it perfect at the beginning for sure, but we're
01:57going to try it and see how it goes.
01:59I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
02:02As Hubbard is actively touring, the decision to homeschool their children will also likely
02:07make it easier for the family to stay together on the road as he continues to travel to perform
