Govt approved RM160bil in investments in the first half of 2024, says Anwar

The amount of investment approved from January to June 2024 has jumped to RM160 billion, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. 00:00We are fortunate to inherit a relatively good system.

00:17But the responsibility of the current generation and the future is to improve it to a better level.

00:25First, we see the prosperity of the Khazan family.

01:54not only as a body that can monitor and ensure the growth of the business,

02:02to record progress, success, development and profits.

02:08But towards the development of growth and prosperity.

02:14Even though people know the Khazan family as a sovereign wealth fund,

02:19I emphasize that it is also more relevant as a sovereign development fund.

02:26And development means, once again,

02:32to ensure the balance, justice and unity of everyone's interests.

02:45But now, there are new challenges.

02:51And as the Khazan family is forced to maintain some of the old pillars,

02:58but to develop some new areas of development.

03:05Therefore, in the philosophy of our country's development,

03:10we always say that we must be ready to reach the sky.

03:21To explore new ideas.

03:24But we must not leave the ground.

03:28We must root to the ground.

03:32This is what we talk about the need to build,

03:37but to root to the ground, to defend the values in our country.

06:30he mentioned his confidence in the Malaysian Airlines,
