00:00World number one Yannick Sinner has prolonged his US Open campaign with a cruisy win in straight
00:04sets on day six in New York. The first set of his battle with 87th ranked Aussie Chris O'Connell was
00:09the smoothest with the Italian running away to a five-love lead inside 20 minutes and ultimately to
00:14a 6-1 set point victory. The team will be really pleased with his progress so far. Piers undoubtedly
00:21would have been creeping in for Sinner after the recent upsets involving other top seeded players
00:25but Sinner disregarded the possibility of being added to the hit list and further stamped his
00:29authority on the contest with a 6-4 second set. Securing the break early again in the third,
00:3630-year-old O'Connell was no match for Sinner's on fire forehand which would be the key to
00:40wrapping up the third set 6-2 and booking himself a spot in the round of 16. Elsewhere
00:53Bottic Van de Schanskoop's fairytale week came to an end at the hands of Englishman Jack Draper,
00:57the world number 25 breeze to a 6-3 opening set before a tougher second where the Dutchman
01:02played some of his best. Eventually though a poor service game and costly errors allowed Draper to
01:11wrap it up with ease in the third 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in favour of the man who could now go very deep in
01:17this year's draw. And in the women's division Jasmine Paolini and Jessica Peluga advanced with
01:23straight set victories over Yulia Putinsaeva and Jessica Buzas-Maniero respectively.
