On the search for Burna Boy

Catching Burna Boy on camera is no easy feat for any journalist. Our quest to interview the African giant continues, even at Summerjam. Why do you think Burna has become so inaccessible compared to other African artists?

00:00Summer Jam 2024 and one thing you need to know is that for the past years we've been trying to get

00:05the big man himself, Burna Boy. It's becoming almost impossible to get just this one act

00:11and here too we are going to try, we will keep trying. That is his stage so come along with us

00:49excited and I love him so much. Burna Boy we love you. Burna Boy we love you but we just want to

00:55see you. I don't know if they too want to see him. What would you do once you see him? Just scream

01:01and be happy about it. Something to definitely be happy about. Well let's keep the search on.

01:08Let's go. Apparently everyone is just searching for him. Have you seen him? No. You've not seen him.

01:19Where's Burna Boy? He's here. Where is he? I don't see him. I don't see the bus.

01:40Some freezing car or something. I don't understand.

01:44It's almost impossible.

01:51I'm looking for Burna Boy as well. It's gonna be a nice evening.

01:56We are all looking for him and this is backstage. All of this this is backstage and it's very much

02:01restricted. That spot over there is where the artists all are and Burna Boy is also inside there

02:07and of course you can see that they're all guarding the place.

02:15As you can see this is a very secure place but we're still trying our luck to see.

02:20The momentum is building up and everybody can feel it. They're just trying to clear everyone

02:26around here very soon. Well you can see the mom is the one with the red hair coming

02:30approaching going to approach the stage and when you see Burna's mom know that the show is about

02:35to go down and of course she always has to make sure that everything is safe and secure. From what

02:40I see it looks like the man does not even walk to go to the stage. He's in the car. He's not even

02:46walking down the car. This is very interesting. That's the big man himself going up there on the

02:52stage and as you can see this is almost impossible to access but right now Burna is going on the

02:59stage and he's going to perform. We might as well just join and see how that's going to look.

03:21You've seen him now. We've seen him now so we can all just go home now and say goodbye but enjoy

03:28the summer jam.
