Former England Manager Sven-Göran Eriksson has died aged 76 from pancreatic cancer. Daniel Wales looks back at his time leading the national team.

00:06manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has died at the age of 76, his family announced on Monday.

00:12Before leading the Three Lions, Eriksson had a glittering career around Europe, winning

00:1618 trophies including the UEFA Cup, European Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

00:24In 2001 he was named as England manager, following a disappointing Euro 2000 tournament for the

00:29country, and masterminded a 5-1 away win in Germany on the road to qualification for

00:35the 2002 World Cup. Whilst in charge of England, he oversaw the development of the so-called

00:40Golden Generation, including players such as Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Frank Lampard

00:45and Steven Gerrard. Ultimately, England reached three quarter-finals at major tournaments

00:50under his management. As was done for one of his predecessors, Terry Venables, Eriksson

00:55will be remembered when England next play at Wembley.
